Thank you guys for your support. It's so nice to have this as my outlet for frustration. I'm feeling better today and hopefully each day will become easier from here.
Big, old trees are beautiful aren't they. This tree with its enormous roots has seen so much.. hopefully it will still be around long after I'm gone.

"I love those who can smile in trouble, who can gather strength from distress, and grow brave by reflection. 'Tis the business of little minds to shrink, but they whose heart is firm, and whose conscience approves their conduct, will pursue their principles unto death." - Leonardo da Vinci

Adventures in Seeing # 9 - Everything is Worthy
When I go down to the harbour, it's to be near the water, to see the boats and especially the reflections, but I often purposely seek out the details that we sometimes take for granted. There are hidden hooks and ropes and chains and all manner of things that are worthy of my attention.
In this capture, I love the structure of the thick linked chains, the texture of the rust and the contrast with the white painted chain.
At RSPB Greylake. The winter ducks are not yet up to full strength, but numbers seem to be increasing every day.

We are born helpless, but while growing older, we think that our knowledge is superior to the experience of the ones that live what still lies ahead of us. We are rebellious, impatient and dogmatic. Through the years, we increasingly become convinced that who we are, what we do and how we think is the ultima ratio - a protagonist who wants to stand out above the crowd.
We are captured in a blunted actuality but are still depending on the love and grace of those who surround us.
Life is fragile, life is complicated and the maintenance of our personal reality is always in danger. So perhaps at one point, the validity of the known is questioned: normality becomes the exception, and the exception becomes the lonely straw one clutches on.
While trying not to drown in the sea of anger, fear, and uncertainty, we might reason with ourselves. Rewriting our story by questioning who we are, what we do and what we believe - an opportunity to become a protagonist who stands out above the crowd.
Life is vivid, life is unsteady, life is full of eventualities.

The first time I saw this image, I just fell in love with it that I can't stop myself asking Yolanda to allow me to work on her picture. I was very fortunate that she quickly agreed.
So, here is what I was able to produce. From one jpg, I used Photomatix and Photoshop to render this image in HDR. I hope you like what I did.

Story time: I was here in the very same spot last year during Game 7 of the NBA Finals. It was sad, it didn't end the right way and I left home disappointed.
In the post season, we got KD.. and we won the post season.
Starting in the 2016-2017 season, we wondered what would happen with the team chemistry. Kerr and team found what works. KD and Curry be the leads while everyone else follows.
It worked against the GOAT and Cleveland.
I came back to the same spot this year and listened to the end of the game on the radio.
We won.
Strength in Numbers.
Another play on a photo taken at the Kelley Ryden and Tracy Raver workshop. We were fighting to get shots ... beautiful model. Floor was wet with drool.

Kelly had two wishes when she started working out a year ago: have flat abs & 'look' strong.
She now has a 4-pack, can do five unassisted chin-ups, rode 112 miles in the Tour de Cure bicycle ride, & completed her first triathlon in July 2008.
She 'is' strong. She IS an inspiration.

This little old man impressed me with his strength and grace across the water... he caught up with our motorized boat!
You can see his pets onboard his boat, there are 4 of them, and you can see a basket full of fish in the middle :)
Explored on flickr #267, thank you my friends for your visits and comments :)
