This is a picture of a straydog that lived on the streets for more than a year, actually she was born on the streets of Gran Canaria. After 4 months of trying to catch her it was succesful and she lives now in Belgium in a loving home. I made this picture to show the fragility of gaining confidence in people, slowly she is building a bridge to overcome her fears, but be sure that she is going to win this struggle!

I previously said that we only ever saw two cats during our stay in Sri Lanka, but I couldn't tell you how many dogs as there were far too many to count. Driving along a road you couldn't go a few hundred yards before you saw one or two or maybe three. Some were in better condition than others but they were all light brown or brown and white and had the exact same look. Romanesque nose big ears and a look of having been thrown together with leftover pieces from other dogs. I asked our guide whether they belong to anyone and he said most of them did. We did see the occasional one with a collar of sorts.

If you have time, there are six more photos below. I know that's a lot but I think you will find them interesting to see how alike they all are.
