A friend of mine occasionally says of one of my photographs that he could 'write a whole story' from it. In a turnabout, I believe I could -- and have -- created a whole story here. Capturing during my recent, "reluctant' visit to one of New Orleans' famous old cemeteries.

once upon a time, there was a knight and a dragon. one day, the knight hijacked a ride on the dragon's back. then something awful happened.

Ideas for how to consider Twitter as a platform for transmedia storytelling

These five dolls were created specifically for my storytelling gigs and feature Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Aether. All dolls are made with the lovely hand-dyed "Meltie Feltie" felt from Raggedy Junction and acquired through DancingRainDolls.

Transmedia storytelling refers to a new aesthetic that has emerged in response to media convergence – one that places new demands on consumers and depends on the active participation of knowledge communities. Transmedia storytelling is the art of world making. To fully experience any fictional world consumers must assume the role of hunters and gatherers, comparing notes with each other via online discussion groups, and collaborating to ensure that everyone who invests time and effort will come away with a richer entertainment experience.

My kids don't read a lot at home. They read at school and at grandma's,but we are almost never at home. I was lucky enough this weekend to catch my daughter reading a book that she got in her Mcdonald's happy meal. Kudos to Mcdonald's for actually putting something of value in the happy meal this time!

Storytelling Around Bonfire

When you leave youtube on for a while unattended sometimes the wierd videos show up. Ended up watching this video of Mollena Williams. She was telling a story with a sign called Bawdy Storytelling behind her. Found out they were local and decided to catch the show. Hosted at the courtyard of the SF Mint. The show had 4 speakers and a ukulele singer. I like NPRs the Moth a lot and this show was just like it, excepted very perverted. Would go again - but per the organizers this may be their last show for while.

reid mihalko - jedi threesome

meg elison - lesbian encounter with Lady Dimitrescu

alotta boutte - I forgot - it was good though

sejay - pon farr cosplay in a sex dungeon

Chalk mural from the April Storytelling Festival. It was still up in early July. I don't think anyone can bear to erase it.

After doing the live ds106 radio Scary Stories from Strawberry show, I was eager to get a copy of The Thing at the Foot of the Bed, a book of ghost stories I remembered we had when I was a kid.

I found a used copy on Amazon, and in not too long, I am reliving ones like "The Golden Arm"
