Still a bit of catching up on S2F. This is my submission for a lesson on telling a story while making triptychs with Lightroom. Each of the photos were edited with Kim's preset "gentle" prior to making the triptych. Hopefully this triptych tells a bit of a story of a wonderful Maine vacation.

Street art in my neighborhood on a wall behind a service station. "The Invisible Boy", by Hugo Barros, art by Camila Santos (Siren).

During the pandemic I fished my first crochet project. I'm now on my third, and I have found something so gratifying about being able to look at something and say, "I made that with my own hands."

Throw the dice, sequence them as you choose, and tell a story based on the pictures. (Or, to make it harder, tell a story based on them in the sequence they fall into.) The more dice you toss the harder the challenge.

I've always been told to bring more storytelling into my photography. So here's a picture story about innocence and violence. A real drama, in other words. The action scenes aren't shown due to the amount of blood and unimaginable brutality. After all, children could be watching. And yes, real oranges were desecrated, disfigured, and massacred. Poor little oranges. :)

Into the Faraway Sky

This is a lovely picture of my capital building at night, bathed in moon light. I found it both a magical & spooky sight to come across.

A charming tale of brotherly love.

I knew that a group of rooks was called a parliament, but it was only today that I found it is also called a "storytelling". How lovely is that?

Storytelling image. It's one thing to get into mischief, but it's quite another to be caught red-handed!

"Book of school duty 2000/2001" Photo project created in the art colony in the village of Gradac, Raška-Serbia. Project is made in the village primary school in which each year there are fewer and fewer students, at this moment only 12. The story is a fictional, and actors are the participants of the colony.

Creative minds are drawn to flickr, and spawned some interesting new forms of expression.

* Andrew Losowsky started a set of images of Doorbells of Florence, where each photo of a doorbell is accompanied by an original short story. This form has been coined "flicktion" (=flickr + fiction) which others have picked up as a way to use images and story together. See photos tagged with flicktion to see more examples.

* A flickr group called Visual Storytelling has created a visual form of story in which the entire tale must be told with only 5 images (and no text)-- see the example shown, called The Mosquito.

* Six Word Story picks up on Hemingway's rise to the challenge of writing a complete story in only six words. In this version, a story must be told in one image and six words.

* Missio Stencil Story is "an interactive, choose-your-own-adventure story that takes place on the sidewalks of the Mission district in San Francisco" told via a flickr photo set

* Shutterhack, a photographer from Malaysia, combines stunning vivid photos with selected poems.
