Nebraska was full of surprises that I didn’t expect. It was a gorgeous way to start the day after a long night of driving under starlit skies. I always marvel at the beauty God has made as it is a testament of His glory and power!

Number five is another oldie that was waiting for me to be stacked into the star trails. This remotely located church in Kentish countryside was visited by be me quite a few times in the last couple of years. It is one of the favourite dark spots within 70miles drive and must visit destination to enjoy and absorb the night and starlit skies.

68x30sec images taken with Canon EOS 5DmII and Samyang 14mm at f/4 ISO 1600. Last 20 odd frames were becoming misty due to condensation onto my lens so I had to go with only just over half hour worth of images.

Wishing on a dream that seems far off

Hoping it will come today

Into the starlit night

Foolish dreamers turn their gaze

Waiting on a shooting star

But, what if that star is not to come?

Will their dreams fade to nothing?

When the horizon darkens most

We all need to believe there is hope

Is an angel watching closely over me?

Can there be a guiding light I've yet to see?

I know my heart should guide me but,

There's a hole within my soul

What will fill this emptiness inside of me?

Am I to be satisfied without knowing?

I wish, then, for a chance to see

Now all I need (desperately)

Is my star to come
