Stargazer lily by dogmadic is from the Creative Commons.
The inaugural shot of my new Tokina 11-16 f2.8.
We drove for an unhealthy amount of time to find this spot, but when we did it was 100% worth the effort. Perfectly clear skies, Mars brighter than I've ever seen it, and gorgeous fog rising from the water and rushing to the center of the lake.
Model April
Shot at sunset hence the yellow glow. a little fill in strobe reflected on the snow
Skin tones lightened an clarity decreased 40%
“I do not want to sleep
For fear I might miss the twinkle of the brightest star
For fear I may never know
How the moon glimmers, in the darkest hour.”

another lovely rose from the Dugald MacKenzie Rose Garden.
Rosa 'Stargazer': Floribunda rose, flowering in flushes throughout the season. Matt, medium green foliage. Bright orange-red flowers with a yellow star shape in the centre and yellow stamens. Very mild fragrance (www.aboutgardendesign.com/plant-guide/item/rosa-stargazer)
And here are are some scenes I captured with my previous generation cell phone ... a Samsung Galaxy Note 9.
This is our little "Cabin in the Woods" (known as "StarGazer Lodge") at Lakes of the North.
a great spotted woodpecker from this afternoon ,apologies as i rarely clone any shots but this one had a real mess of deadwood at the bottom so i cloned it out .i think it helps the overall pic so i am leaving it as is
Taken last year.....mine are no where near blooming yet, but this shot caught my eye when I was considering working with another, and I love these flowers so much I had to play with it.

"Courage wanes like moonbeams
When it’s pulled out from the night
But like those who gazed before you;
Know when your heart is full of fear,
That it is always in your darkness
That the stars start to appear."

Photo was taken a couple yrs ago but I've been going thru my folders and bringing some of these older pictures back to life. Sometimes it helps to go back to them and see them in a whole different "light".

Stargazer lilies from the outdoor garden of our county high school.
Something to brighten up a rather rainy and gloomy Friday here in the northeastern region of the United States. TGIF!
Used Nikon D90 with nikkor 50mm f1.4G prime lens.
Manual setting, manual focus, no filter and no flash.
Have a great weekend Friends!
One of my very favorites. It's not that easy to stand still for thirty seconds :)
