Standing alone and exposed in Glen Esk.

A Tricolored Heron poses standing up tall.

This is another shot which I took on my recent sunset photo walk. Currently, I'm a bit uninspired, but still I try to get my gear out and look for compositions. I'm not entirely happy with this image, but still I like the bokeh and the beautiful stripe of light which was illuminating this stinging nettle. I hope you like it too!

A Great Egret stands proud and tall in the morning light.

This photo was also taken the day I visited Ripley's Aquarium in Toronto On. This is some kind of Jelly Fish, didn't quite catch the name of it, but it looks pretty cool none the less especially with the blue background !!

Second angle of a previously photographed dustbowl house. Not too many of these mid 30's places are still standing, and this one's days are definitely numbered.

Past from few days i have been thinking about life a lot n i realized one fact that to be alone gives you a lot of peace n gives you a lot of space to think about ur self. i think its the stage of my life where i can stand alone, but still be happy.

attachment was what spoiling my peace all the time.now i have slowly started to be on my own n not to be attached to any one...n i shud say i am really happy guys :)

so i want to dedicate this picture to all those who are standing alone to achieve some thing, to be one with the self n to realize there own self.

And guys please dont comment on my pictures for the heck of commenting [don worry i would still comment on ur picture :)....]

and don comment if u don mean it and plzzzzz don use ur templates to comment on my pictures.i feel we are here to share our thoughts through our pictures n not to make others to comment on our pictures. any comments and critiques are much appreciated

i am still a beginner so please feel free to express ur Thoughts.

Have a wonderful week ahead!!!

Thank you all !

Callanais 2. An alternative to the large ring at the Callanish Stones on Lewis. Mhairi converted it to black and white to then emphasis the natural lichen colours of bronze , red and green.

A standing stone at the cleared township of Boreraig, Isle of Skye. The stone has been only roughly dated as Neolithic/Bronze Age. According to local tradition the stone marks the burial of a body or bodies washed ashore, a custom common on Skye for that time.

Carrion Crow posing nicely

This young rabbit was on its back legs standing straight up for 15 seconds, assessing how dangerous I was.

I was 35 feet away, so it didn't need to fear me. It soon dropped to the ground and continue feeding on the grass stems.

I'm glad its head was turned just enough that we can see one eye here...

An ancient standing stone near Cregennan Lakes.

My version of "telecommuting".

I shot this image with long glass (500mm) from Wilburn Ridge across to Pine Mountain and the Appalachian Trail as heavy clouds were blowing through. This lone dead tree kept grabbing my attention due to its symmetry as it came in and out of view with the varying cloud elevation.

Thank you for viewing.

Brown Falcon (Falco berigora)

I think this is Arthur but I can't be 100% sure, it has been a long time since I have been down to the Sneydes Rd Paddock. The colouring and markings are right and this light post was always a favourite perch of his.

My attention was drawn to the eastern end of the Paddock where a pair of Magpies were making a fuss. A few seconds later it became obvious that they didn't like the Falcon being in their territory. He had been flying low to the ground with the Maggies in hot pursuit. He rose up to perch on the light post, overlooking the freeway off ramp, and the Maggies lost interest.
