Here's my one problem I have with this quilt pattern: unless your vigilant, you'll end up with those wee slices of color at the end of the rows. Next time I'll watch for that and take in some seem allowances in the middle of the rows to leave a bigger block of color on the ends if necessary.
this is the stack of dead stuff i pulled from the patio this afternoon. of course, i forgot to get a lawn bag while i was at the store, so they are still in an ugly heap.

-red/purple paisley silk surplice wrap dress with a tulip shaped skirt

MEASUREMENTS: stacked pendant of 16mm round bead, 2x15mm disk bead, and a 7x14mm rondelle bead on a fine silver lampwork headpin, and a 22x7mm ring bail with a 10mm inner diameter.
This stacked lampwork pendant has three coordinating lampwork beads hanging from a striped lampworked ring on a fine silver lampwork headpin, connected with an enameled copper wirewrapped loop.

Bringing a train of "Alligator Lines" (Mitsui OSK) stacks up Beaumont near Indio, another in the endless parade of trains on this line gets hell out the L.A. basin and heads for the desert. Nifty that all these stackers ran with a plethora of power, often with lots of 4-axle units up front. 4-axle is good. Summer 1996.

Focus stacked from 10 shots. This is the only one I got to work. Handheld, but the Pro1 allowed me to focus without changing perspective. I only made a half-hearted attempt at aligning them. CombineZM did a very good job aligning the pieces into a solid picture.
As a side note, this is the same specimen that made an appearance very early on in my macro experimentation last July. I found him behind the couch:

In a shop in Pasah Beringharjo a young man works with tall stacks of boxes and burlap sacks filled with goods for sale.
I see more and more of these in Boulder. Is it just a Colorado thing, I wonder?

This is South Stack lighthouse on the north-west coast of Anglesey. Holyhead is behind the hilll to the right and ferrys sail past here on their way to/from Dublin.
NS 281 rolls south out of Brosnan Yard in Macon, GA with an abysmally short train of stacks and autoracks. At under 3k feet almost every day of my Georgia trip, I quickly questioned why this train still exists.

Daughter wasn't as excited as me.
So I rolled the die and picked up a 35mm off ebay for 5 dollars that was described as "for Parts" There is cloudiness in the lenses, hundreds of tiny scratches on the outer rim of the glass, and basically has all the makings of something that looks like it was pulled out of a dumpster. But it still produces a damn good image right out of the gate.
South Stack lighthouse is located on a rocky islet situated off the east coast of Anglesey, north Wales. It was built in 1809, and is 28 metres tall, standing about 60 metres overall above sea level.
The lighthouse can be visited, but only by descending - and the ascending - the 400 steps down the steep cliff face. The surrounding cliffs are used by thousands of sea birds, particularly guillemots, as nesting sites.
