This pelican just wanted the other pelicans spot. There was an empty pole next to that one but he wanted this one. They must be siblings.

First visit to Chemical Beach with my friend steveniceton.co.uk. The tide was much too high to capture the Iron Wheels, so my feet got a good soaking taking this one of the Stack. We had been all set up for a LE from the other side with the groynes leading up to the stack, but when all the cloud action started happening behind us I had to abandon that plan pretty sharpish.

It has been a while since I've stacked images of a fire sky. This image stacks 17 x 40s interval per frame and then lightened in Photoshop.

We were able to get 2 nights of camping, by reservation, at Harris Beach State Park. They close the parking lot at 9:00 pm (right at sunset in June), but by camping in the park and walking down the hill to the beach we could stay as late as we wanted.

Had some fun in the fog at the Cleveland Metroparks.

A clean ACe pulls a long train of double stacks towards Salt Lake City, here seen approaching Uintah. At eye level to the left, you can see the eastbound main on which the UP 4014 traversed earlier in the day.

Taken just before the sky erupted in red yesterday. I was delighted by the "stacked" appearance directly above the dark cloud that cried snowflakes.

Left to right, they are..

2p coin, 10p coin, 5p coin and finally the 1p coin.

All stacked up in small little towers.

Mind you, I am not sure that during the week we remember the attacks on the Twin Towers, this subject is in the best of taste...

I recently purchased Helicon software for focus stacking. This was a practise run on one of my wife's orchids. This was a stack of 45 images taken at F8 with tripod. This seemed to work pretty well. A similarly stacked handheld image was nowhere near as good.
