Stack Rock Pembrokeshire Wales

Seen on a Road Scholar trip to Newfoundland in June-July, 2013. Uploaded for Smile on Saturday! :-) theme: Natural Stones.

HSoS everyone!

This one was extraorinary big, I didn't even need an additional lens for this handheld 2:1 Macro.

This sort of cuckoo wasps are a parasite to wasps of trypoxylon species, see here.

They put one (or more) eggs into the nest of their host. The larvae then feed on the the food provided by the trypoxylon wasp (mostly small paralyzed spiders).

It has been a while since I've stacked images of a fire sky. This image stacks 17 x 40s interval per frame and then lightened in Photoshop.

First visit to Chemical Beach with my friend steveniceton.co.uk. The tide was much too high to capture the Iron Wheels, so my feet got a good soaking taking this one of the Stack. We had been all set up for a LE from the other side with the groynes leading up to the stack, but when all the cloud action started happening behind us I had to abandon that plan pretty sharpish.

Juicy & delicious clementines from Morocco!

Stacked from 10 images. For me, this is the perfect lens for Mushrooms (of the ones I own).

Stack Polaidh North West Highlands Scotland's West coast.

My guesstimate in the moment was that this stack of clouds was about a mile across. I followed its northerly drift for a while, but it was dissipating as I did. In southern Augusta County, Virginia. (Upon further review, I now guesstimate the width of the cloud at 5 miles +/- )

Magnetic construction toys for the Macro Mondays challenge, Stack. Area shown is about 64mm

Happy Macro Monday!

No I did not pile these rocks up like this ... someone else did and left for me to find.

The Burlington Northern Santa Fe pulls a stack train up the hills of northern Wyoming.

Tried focus stacking with my new camera. This is a composite of 20 photographs.

Just seconds before the sun slips behind the Cerbat Mountains, a long eastbound stack train crests the hill out of Kingman, AZ, and the Hualapai Valley.
