Just playing with some focus-stacked macro shots of plants and flowers here. Incredible amounts of detail in some these - if nothing else, it was fun experimenting bit with these and my home-made backgrounds and window light.
Obviously not the dart I had a slim hope of getting, but Stagecoach 39691 (KX08 LVM) was photographed all the same, as it makes it`s way along High Stack, Long Buckby, with a D4 service for Daventry.

With a long intermodal train in tow, CP 8747 races eastward past the 10,600 ft siding at Gap, Alberta. The train has conquered the climbs of Rogers Pass and Kicking Horse Pass, so from here it's all a gentle downgrade along the Bow River to Calgary.
In the distance are the peaks of Mt Lawrence Grassi and Ha Ling Peak, part of Bow Valley Wildland Provincial Park.

There's a big movement to stop people from stacking rocks in the wild. They are disruptive of the local ecosystem.
I don't think this restriction extends to little pebble stacks like this one.

Fall Creek Oregon. Big Fall Creek Road was closed a few miles in. The last pullout before the road closure is probably getting a lot more visits than normal.
I enjoyed our stop there.
South Stack Lighthouse is situated on the North West corner of Anglesey, North Wales.

As I took macro photos, the beads reflected the light in the window slats. These clear glass plates with beads on edge were one of few things I inherited from my grandmother.
A first stack with my newly modified stacking machine. It uses now a NEMA-17 stepper motor instead of an extremly slow contineous drive, and so I've been able to eliminate vibrations to a large extend. This results in visibly better resolution compared to the former setup.
The stack width was 0.25µm and 218 images were required to cover the depth of the wing scales. Lens: Nikon BD Plan 60/0.7 ELWD 210/0

Coal tit landing sequence. An experiment: Raw files (.ORF) stacked by Affinity Photo using outlier stack operator (from the Affinity Help documents: "Outlier—exposes pixel content that differs in each image: great for sequence composites"). Pity the focus isn't bang on; however, I think this an experiment worth repeating.
