I'm playing along with the SSS-Flickr Challenge #11.- LOVE Theme

Thanks, Barb & SSS.

See my blog for more details.

Thanks for looking.

I Combined BG Stamp SSS101947 Quilted Hearts and SSSD 111455 Stitched Rectangle die with PB Stamp Whispers 40-528 and PB die Sister 51-336. I am entering this card in the SSSFlickrchallenge#116. Although, you can barely see it in this photo I also used Technique Tuesday Pieces of my HEART DIE.

I'm trying to use my NBUS, but it seems as if I buy something new every time I use something I haven't used before!! The sentiment is the NBUS - it's from SSS "Birthday Treat" which I bought back in March.

I'm entering this into SSS Wednesday Challenge "Favorite Tool" - I used 3 favorites: my MISTI, my Cuttlebug and Avery Elle's "Double Pierced Rectangles".

Supplies:

Sweet Treats (MFT)

Distressed Patterns (MFT) the strawberries in the ice cream

Birthday Treat (SSS)

Double Pierced Rectangles (Avery Elle)

Challenges:

MFT Color Challenge #146 mftstamps.com/blogs/news/cc146; SSS Monday Challenge "Happy Birthday" www.simonsaysstampblog.com/mondaychallenge/?p=20940; and SSS Wednesday Challenge "Favorite Tool" www.simonsaysstampblog.com/wednesdaychallenge/simon-says-....

Got the Beautiful Flowers set recently and used it to do some paper piecing/fussy cutting. I'm adding this to the current SSS flickr challenge of anything goes. I stamped the full floral image on some patterned paper from the Prima Zella Teal collection with VersaFine CLAIR ink in Morning Mist and then trimmed it out. I stamped the three separate flower images from the set on a coordinating pattern from the same collection and trimmed them out. A third piece was trimmed to fit a card front and adhered. I adhered the flowers to the floral image with the center one popped up with foam tape. The piece was then placed on the card front so that I could figure out where to stamp the sentiment and then stamped the sentiment with the Morning Mist ink. Finally I adhered the floral piece to the card front with foam tape and then added some sequins.

Adding this to the SSS Wednesday challenge of anything goes, too.

I hauled out my Christmas stamps and dies yesterday to take inventory and was inspired to try out a pastel holiday card with watercoloring. Not something I'd usually do but it was fun playing!

I used SSS Holiday Frames Die, Kate Snowflake Die and Suspension Tree Die. I watercolored all these pieces and added Glitter Ritz Warm Transparent Glitter on the snowflake and Distress Rock Candy Glitter on the tree. The background was white heat embossed using the Impression Obsession Nordic Stripes stamp.

This is a wonderful time of the year for encouraging cards, the latest Simon Says Stamp Flickr challenge. I love playing around with alcohol inks; they do tend to just go where they want :>) I'm also entering this card in the LOVE! - Handmade Cards May Challenge 64.

This is one of those cards that looked different in my head... :) I pulled out this fun SSS Bring the Sunshine set planning to play along with SSSFLickrChallenge#39 (Tags) and SSS Monday Challenge (Inspired by a Song). I stamped the sentiment on the die cut shape from the set and punched a hole planning to tie some twine in it. I used 2 different colors of embossing powder to highlight the "sunshine." Well the twine looked out of place, so out went the twine and in went an enamel dot to cover the whole. Does it still count as a tag?! I used some older Lawn Fawn dies (Spring Showers Lawn Cuts) to create the backdrop. And lately, I've been trying to do something to make the envelope match. This is another image from the same SSS stamp. And now who else has "You are my Sunshine" stuck in their heads? :)

SSS Products used: Bring the Sunshine; White EP; Fog, Smoke and Slate card stock

And just to round it out, the SSS Wednesday Challenge this week is Anything Goes, so I'm also entering over there.

I made this cute card to enter new SSSflickrchallenge#9! These lovely cats came from Furry Kisses stamp set by Simon Says Stamp! :)

Adding this to the SSS Flickr challenge and the Love Handmade cards Flickr Challenge.

Stencils always seem to be perfect for a "One Layer Wonder" Challenge. I paired several Simon Says Stamp and Hero Arts products for this one, and it just so happens that SSSFlickrChallenge#36 and A Blog Named Hero challenge are both featuring One Layer cards this month! Inked up the stencil in White Unicorn pigment ink, and then shift it slightly and inked it in slate. Masked off the center to leave room for the sentiment. To warm the card up a bit, I stamped a couple of the hearts from this collaborative set in Raspberry Jam.
