a quick little card that I made for the current SSS flickr challenge to create a spring themed card. since there is always a lot of rain in the spring I thought using the little cloud and umbrella images from the SSS happy days stamp set would be perfect. the little raindrops were filled in with nuvo crystal drops in morning dew. I think I will also add this to the current SSS Wednesday challenge of anything goes.

This is another new-to-me stamp set by Simon - Brushstroke Messages. It makes the artistic-y look so quick and easy to achieve. I stamped the brushstrokes in SSS Smoke, SSS Catkin, HA Tide Pool, SSS Audrey Blue and SSS Hot Mama. I finished it off with a sentiment and a few hearts from the set. I made this for the SSSFlickrChallenge#95 - Anything Goes. I'll also entering it at the SSS MOnday Challenge - "Let's Doodle." Another fabulously designed stamp set that let's me fake artistic ability :)
Had time to make another card for the SSSWednesday challenge and the SSS Flickr group challenge. Used an old Hero Arts stamp for the Gold embossed words and the Simon Says "Stitched Square Dies". More on my blog

Okay, this is the explanation for this craziness - my grandparents had a pink aluminum tree that they used every Christmas when I was a kid. It was glittery and sparkly and I remember it very fondly. I coated the die cut in tree in clear Wink of Stella to give it that sparkle I remember before I inlaid it in the panel.

That bikini die from the #simonsaysstamp July kit is just adorable. And that sentiment!😂 Seriously, I wish I had half the wit of whoever comes up with these plays on words. I cut out the die from patterned paper from the kit. The backgrounds were created using Distress inks and #mftstamps stencils (the cloud stencil is particularly fun to use). Also entering this card in #sssmchallenge and #sssflickrchallenge. Hello, summer!

Made this slimline edge to edge shaker card using the cosmo stencil from SSS.
I also used the loved, hugs and thanks die set for the sentiment.
First time to use my new die Birthday Wishes Circle from Simon Says Stamp. The plaid was made using the SSS Jumbo Stripes stamp set. The bluish stripe was stamped with Hero Arts Soft Stone, I think the pad is designed to give it a mottled look. I am entering this card in the Simon Says Stamp Flickr challenge Fresh and New and in this month's LOVE! - Handmade cards January challenge.

My Favorite Things circle background stamp stamped with white ink and embossed with white. A peek of red ink was added with Distress inks. The wreath is a Simon Says Stamp die, the flower is a stamp and die from Alternew and the word, blessings is a die from Clearly Besotted.
Unconventional colors for a Valentine card for my unconventional daughter. I am entering this in the Simon Says Stamp Flickr challenge, "Lotsa Love."

I have just got this stamp "Cosmos Background" from Simon says and couldn't wait to use it . Simple card using white embossing on Kraft card, cut using the SSS "Stitched Square "die and just added a sentiment and some sparkle. Made this using the Etched Snowflake background stamp from the new Simon Says Stamp Hey Bestie release. I used a technique that the amazing Yana Smakula uses frequently that involves heat embossing the background with embossing powder and then inking the edges so that it brings the focus on the center of the card panel. For this one I did tone on tone. I used the SSS Snowflake die set to die cut the tag from vellum and then emboss with the sentiment in gold (from the SSS stamp set Snow Much Thanks). The snowflake was die cut from gold cardstock and adhered behind the tag. Finished with a bow tied with dark red baker's twine.

Nothing beats pigment inks for stamping on colored cardstock. I started with @heroarts Pebble cardstock and @crafterscompanion metallic pigment inks to stamp the first layer of @simonsaysstamp Snowflake Builder, from their January 2020 card kit. Then I heat embossed the second layer with @wowembossing Cloud 9. I went through my stamps and found a few tinier snowflakes which I watermarked on the background. A frame and sentiment (also from Simon) and gems on the centers to complete this card.

For my card I layered two “etched eucalyptus wreath dies on the “detail petal” cover plate. The hearts are from the “clipping hearts die” and the “love you” sentiment is from the clean line everyday stamp set. ⠀

Recently got this sweet Evergreen Circle die from Simon Says Stamp so I used it for the current SSS flickr challenge to use die cuts. I pulled out my long neglected alcohol inks, watched a video and created the panel that I die cut the circle from. Die cut the circle a second time with a circle die to create the border. The sentiment is from the SSS set I See You. I inked up a circle using distress oxide inks in Broken China and Salty Ocean then sprinkled with a bit of water. I had wanted the circle to be more in the corner then it is so it just looks weirdly off center, lol! Adding this to SSS Wednesday challenge, too.
