Taken for SSC 08/12/2018 . subject -- A Cat's Eye View .
Hi ! This is my local fast food joint -BUT I have never caught anything yet . This is not my garden but that of my photographer friend and he has a good cafe for the birds and the squirrels . You can see the bird table and two or three feeders but there are five in total - fat snax ( x2 ) , nyger seed , peanuts , sunflower hearts . The visitors include sparrows ( at least a regular dozen ) , bluetits , starlings , robin , blackbird , jackdaws , crows/rooks , goldfinches , dunnock , blackbird , plus the odd jay , woodpecker and parakeet - oh and the squirrels !
Trouble is they are all too " Fast "- too fast for me and just look how high everything is . No Chance ! Back home for crunchies then !!!
So this is the world from my perspective , low down and a bit bland colour wise , I have different eyes to you big and tall humans .I might well be able to see much better in the dark but in my eyes I have only blue and green colour receptors and no red - I do see in colour ( not black and white as is often thought ) but I cannot see anything red . My photographer friend said there are red berries on the foliage hanging down on the right hand side , but he has spotted them out to make this picture as much like how I see things .

Zwischen 2005 und 2014 entstand für die Universität zu Köln das neue Studierenden-Service-Center (SSC). Entworfen wurde das L-förmige Gebäude von Schuster Architekten Düsseldorf. Die Gebäudeteile zu den Straßenseiten weisen eine glatte Fassade auf. Die übrigen Fassadenseiten verspringen in den unterschiedlichen Geschossebenen.

Saturday Self Challenge 12/05/2018 -- Nature in Black & White .
Been at this plant - aquilegia - all week trying to get angle and light right by which time some more flower heads have opened up .
This plant is the second in a challenge of my own to find and photo plants growing naturally in places where you would not normally find a plant growing .
See below another view in colour to see the plant growing where it did get a bit battered last year but still persists in coming up year on year .

Taken for the Saturday Self Challenge‘Imperfect’. A derelict gatehouse to the derelict Bimbeck Pier, Weston Super Mare. Notices state that the council are the new owners of the pier but it’s going to take some work to restore it. We left Scilly the day before this on our way to Iceland, calling in to see relatives along the way and travelling out tomorrow so long as the volcanic activity near Reykjavik doesn’t prevent our travel. I am travelling with my camera but not my laptop so the next couple of weeks will be phone posts and comments.
Taken for Saturday Self Challenge 22/06/2019 - Something beginning with " T " in a square format .
So off we go with this challenge , set camera to 1:1 aspect ratio and take a shot of something begging with T , great ! I got a shot of a newly finished Teddy Bear that my wife had made ( see first comment box ) . However after a wander on Sunday , the Force took me and I turned to the Dark Side . I was using my old camera which does not have a choice of aspect ratio so I had to crop to the square format . I have seen this tomb a number of times and it is indeed in a sorry state , there is even a brick wall in a cross form within the tomb to support the cover slab . Being in such a dangerous condition it has been surrounded by a metal post fence which itself is now in a poor state . I ought to say HFF at this point !
I am sorry to say I have not been able to find any information on the history of the tomb thus far and not seen any other shots of it either .
I felt a mono shot would suit best and in fact all the shots I took in the churchyard were taken in black & white ! Of course the capture needed a suitably coloured frame .
So all that is left is to have some appropriate music to go with the image - maybe ,
" Children of the Grave " might suit !!
