Left early, nothing unusual about that.

Dry as a bone while coming home........ ;-)
Yesterday Mama and her crew were wild !
Like really wound up and wild. Today Mama
was very sedate, calm, cool and real relaxed.
In this photo we're sitting on the top step at the
spirit house. Mama, Queen of The Jungle, has
just finished eating her second breakfast.
Her subjects are waiting their turn
down on the lower steps.
Did the rounds and cared for all the dogs at the monkey temple.
Pumpkin the Rascal needed special attention cuz one of her
ears was dirty from the swamp. The mini first aid kit that
is carried in one of my pockets was put to good use.
Tomorrow, Monday, I'll be real busy doing personal stuff
that might run into Tuesday as well. If that does in fact
happen somehow I'll squeeze in the time to run out
and make sure Mama & crew are taken care of.
Not to worry you know it will get done ..;-)

Despite the low cloud and rain we decided to brave cruise to Spirit Island which lies 3/4 down Maligne Lake, we manage to out sprint the ASian selfie stick holders to get a prime seat on the boat we didnt beat them to view point as ythey decided to risk their lives jumping off the boat before it moored. Here is one of the iconic views in the Rockies normally captured with blue sky!

A spirit house is a shrine to the protective spirit of a place that is found in the Southeast Asian countries of Burma, Cambodia, Laos, and Thailand.
Most houses and businesses have a spirit house placed in an auspicious spot, most often in a corner of the property. The location may be chosen after consultation with a priest. The spirit house is normally in the form of a miniature house or temple, and is mounted on a pillar or on a dais.
The house is intended to provide a shelter for spirits that could cause problems for the people if not appeased. The shrines often include images of people and animals. Votive offerings are left at the house to propitiate the spirits. More elaborate installations include an altar for this purpose.

As the sun set, more and more people showed up. Jefferson avenue became an impassable sea of chairs. Sitting on the curb with The Renaissance Center, camera, and tripod in front of me hoping that this is going to be the shot in my mind’s eye. But as soon as the fireworks started, I quickly realized it was not. The barge closest to the Renaissance Center was too far to frame the fireworks together. My first thought of to move to my left to close the gap between the Renaissance Center and the closest barge launching fireworks. But at street level, there were too many obstacles in the way. Trees, light poles and a bunch of junk to ruin the shot. With limited time, I tried to make the best of the situation. Try to relocate to another Detroit landmark and shoot from there. The closest landmark that came to mine was the Joe Louis fist in the middle of Woodward and Jefferson avenue. With the sea of people there that idea was not going to work.
Bummed out that my plans were quickly failing, I decided to pack up and head home. Walking west on Jefferson, weaving in and out of folks watching the fireworks, I pass by the Coleman Young building and turn onto Woodward. At the end of the Coleman Young building sits the Spirit of Detroit statute. I decide to walk behind the statue instead of in front and get in the way of people watching the fireworks. As I pass behind the spirit of Detroit, I turned one last time to view the scene before returning home empty handed and this is what I saw…
