Orbweb spider Araniella species with a time bomb. It's carrying a parasitic wasp larvae Polysphincta sp. which will eventually kill it.

A visitor to my garden today

There were some wonderful spiders to be seen in China. Here is a large brightly coloured variety. Any help with I.D would be appreciated

What's the spider trying to tell us?

 

Spider at Fern Forest.

Spider on a water barrel. Xygiella x-notoata. Focus stacked using zerene

Jumping spider hunting on a wall I set this up with one of the drowned flies from the bee hotel. The jumping spider still very stealthily crept up on the dead fly and jumped to make the kill. The jump is a bit gravity defying as it was partially sideways and the spider is on a vertical wall.

This spider was 'hanging around' in a doorway at home and posed nicely for the camera before disappearing into the conservatory.
