Anyone know what kind???

Spider lily gracing the landscape.

....and her shadow....

A zinnia named 'Spider'.

I like to plant these. The flowers are about an inch wide and the plant is about 18" tall. I love how they appear in late summer after I've forgotten I even planted them.

Spider macro taken in Guernsey

said the spider to the fly;

“’Tis the prettiest little parlor that ever you did spy.

The way into my parlor is up a winding stair,

And I have many pretty things to show when you are there.”

“O no, no,” said the little fly, “to ask me is in vain,

For who goes up your winding stair can ne’er come down again.”

How this tiny spider and rather large fly got in between the double hung window is beyond me but there's enough fly there to keep this spider alive until the snow flies... >;-}

Underbelly of a Garden Orbweaver. We get lots of these in our garden.

Found on heathland - any help with identification would be appreciated.

VER CON FONDO NEGRO - VIEW ON BLACK

Spider found at home garden.

July 17, 2019

I found this little yellow crab spider (Misumena vatia) hunting on the milkweed. I guess they love to eat bees, and there are sure plenty of them in the milkweed flowers!

Note, his left front leg is smaller and has less yellow pigment than his right front leg. He must have lost his original, and is growing another!
