Pfc. (now Spc.) Paul Islas of USAREUR's D Company, 2-159th Attack Reconnaissance Battalion assembles a weapon on his way to being named the 12th Combat Aviation Brigade's top Soldier for 2014. Islas is now one of 30 top Soldiers, NCOs and junior officers from across U.S. Army Europe who will compete in the annual USAREUR Best Warrior Competition in Grafenwoehr, Germany, Sept. 14-19. At 11:00 am Jan. 23, 2016, our emergency response convoy responded to a semi-trailer truck jacked knifed on an exit ramp on Highway 97 with Maryland State Troopers. We proceeded to clear the the 2 feet of snow until the exit ramp was clear for emergency vehicles. Took about 45 mins to clear the trailer from the roadway. (Photos from Spc.
