Our lords and masters have new guidance to save us from C19.
"Staying Alert". What the f--k does that mean?
This lady seems to be on case as she is alert to a Nikon user!
I think she only wants Canons pointing at her.
Yosemite Valley - Wandering Through The Forest_B&W

When I am in Yosemite I almost always make time to visit the immediate area that is within easy reach of this wonderful section of forest. When the conditions are right there can be opportunities to create some very pleasing photographs here.
On this morning I got lucky and was able to create one of my most favorite photographs of this trip (not this one.) By lucky I mean, less than 5 minutes after creating the photograph the light spoiled and the opportunity was gone. Five minutes earlier the light might have been even better, but I'll never know. I am pleased with my result.
This photograph "Wandering Through The Forest_B&W" is a result of my casual wanderings through the forest while working my way back to where I had left my vehicle.
The morning was still young, but in the spring the sun penetrates the forest much earlier in the morning bringing life giving light and warmth. What I truly enjoy about this section of the forest is the abundance of some fairly large trees and the generous spacing between them. The unusual openness seems to offer up a sense of welcome and a relaxing calmness which I always appreciate and consider it to be a blessing that should not be taken for granted.
What caught my eye and stopped me in my tracks were the bold inky shadows cast by these noble trees. I knew immediately I was looking at a good subject for a black and white photograph.

this is the photo that was selected for the cover of spacing magazine's 7th issue. as I mentioned eariler, we rented 2 tilt-shift EF TS-E lenses (24mm and 90mm) to get the miniature effect for the city hall but unfortunately none of them were wide enough to give us the view we wanted (due to my camera's non full-frame sensor, I should have rented a Canon 5D or 1Ds too)
so I had to use my trustworthy EF-S 10-22 lens instead and then create the miniature/shallow depth-of-field in photoshop.
I still haven't seen the print myself, but will get it tonight at the launch party. if you can't make it tonight, you can also pick it up in local stores.
Spacing for 2 figs and openable front trunk! Later some cool custom stickers will come for the Herigate edition too!😛

As they so often do, here's my cat staring off into space, seeing whatever they see that we mere mortals cannot :)
Como tantas vezes fazem, aqui está o meu gato especado, de olhar perdido no espaço, a ver aquilo que só eles vêem e que parece estar vedado a nós, meros mortais :)
So instead of a super huge investment in parts, i guess you could say a somewhat huge investment of time, but that would change SHIPTember's spelling for the worse....
In any case, respect the greebles, and enjoy.

Messed up spacing on the titles! Air France launches out to Paris from 17R while British Airways crosses 17C at EL.
People spacing themselves out on the park benches in Princes Street Gardens, although the two chaps together on the right don't seem to have quite gotten the idea that even if you are with a chum, you need to maintain some distance.

I originally bought a silver Canon FTb that I found had a film spacing issue after I received it. I was able to somewhat fix the issue and loved the camera. It quickly became my favorite Canon slr. I eventually picked up this black Canon FTb for the lens, a 50mm “Chrome nose.” It had a mirror that had lost most of the silvering and the camera itself was in desperate need of a cleaning. I cleaned it up, relocated everything. I removed the prism and cleaned it. I replaced the light seals and then swapped the mirror out of my silver FTb into this camera. Now the camera operates as smooth as ever, does not exhibit the film spacing issue of my silver version and it looks so much better to me than the silver copy. The meter is accurate though I rarely use it. I prefer to meter by eye with this camera. It is one of the more enjoyable slr cameras I own. I only wish I could swap the newer style film advance lever from my silver copy to this camera.
At this time of lockdown/social spacing/cocooning with no traffic about and Spring in the air the choir of songbirds is as clear and as beautiful as ever it was! This fine Organ and Choir Gallery in a Roman Catholic Cathedral from the Poole collection may not have as many soloists but no doubt sounded like angels. Is it still the same?

Looking at those birds, I thought it was a very funny way of keeping the distance during the morning toilet rituals in front of the mirror.. :)

Just a brief mention of the book, but it's nice to have your name in a real newspaper while they're still around. Even better to have a tiny space within the same pages as two of my favorite people, David Bryne and Louis C. K.
Here's the article. The graffiti book is pretty good, btw. I’ll be reviewing it on Typographica soon.
One of the strange, overlooked drawbacks to the Skua is that, at a glance from above, it looks very similar to "RedAir" MiGs or Sukhois (and their Songun clones). As a result, pilots must always be vigilant to note the spacing of the engines, the canting of the tails and wingtip missile rails to ensure they aren't chasing after a friendly.

This fold of Woven Triangles Tessellation VIII uses larger spacing between the molecules than the previous one, resulting with a different looking model. Gone are the rhombi that were created by triangles from neighbor molecules and each molecule feels like a separate entity now. Due to being folded from much thinner and more translucent paper, this model is also well suited for taking a picture in back light, revealing its internal structure.

Sometimes I really dislike Lego math, as this took longer to get right than it really should have. Now that the spacings are sound, I will work on the connecting structure and get this more soild, it pretty weak atm.
From Frank Herbert's seminal Science Fiction novels in the Dune series interplanetary travel is a closely held monopoly controlled by the elusive spacing guild. At the core of the Guild are the Navigators.
"A Guild Navigator was a senior rank of artificially super-evolved humans within the Spacing Guild and for many Guildsmen the pinnacle of their ambitions. Mutated through the consumption of and exposure to massive amounts of the spice Melange; Navigators are able to use a mentally conditioned and trained form of prescience to safely navigate interstellar and galactic space in long-range starships called Heighliners."
