I am not one to take a lot of images of flowers. I find it a challange to get the images to look as good as the flower does. I think this could have come out better, maybe something I should paractice more on.
Another Bodhi image, he leaves me wiht many chances for me to work on my focus. Didn't come out as clear as I wanted but it is getting better.
Today, I think he is just thankfull that he isn't a turkey. Hope everyone has an amazing Thanksgiving day.
Is she checking to see if she got the photo, or maybe seeing when she can check into her cruise. With the look on his fase, I think she just got a text from her kids saying they promise there is not a party going on in the house back home.
It's getting a bit warm around here and the humidity is starting to get a bit muggy on days. But I sure do love this place, every time I think about compiling and how hot it is, I remember how much the cold hurts...
Is he waiting for someone, he is at peace and is very focused. He didn't move for the longest time. There wasn't anyone around, so I thought what in the world is he waiting for?
When I reached the spot in the bushes where a few of them had been washed away, I was able to see the sunset. I am not sure how much more of a story there is to this one. If you have your own story that the image tells you I would be curious as to what it is.
I wonder what they are thinking, are they debating if they want to poop on my head, or wait to see if I have some food for them? They were trying to decied for sure, they sat there long enough for me to get my camera ready.
OK Dad... Remind me again, we are both going to hang out here on the paddle board and watch the sun set as we throw a line and a hook into the water. And you say this is the stuff I will remember?
These two just finished wrestling all around the park, they need a quick break and they were back at it shortly there after.
Lulu is not much for the spot light, she does however love to play and chew on those sticks. The sweetest little girl you could ever want to meet.
Bodhi my dog has a new friend. Sushi. Now sushi is still learning how to play with others, but he is doing really well. He is brave most of the time. Both Bodhi and Lulu have welcomed Sushi into there club.
She was waiting for the sunset to finish, or waiting for a dolphin to show up, or should could have been waiting on her date... But we all knew. She was waiting.
They will go to no lenght to try to sell you insurance. This little guy was following me around the park today.
Not one of my best images, but one of those that I like a lot. It was a warm spring day and I grabbed just a minute in the shade right before the sun started to set.
Some cars just require names, now that I think about it, all cars deserve a name. This one is Sabbath.
I am pretty sure this is the Mocking Bird that follows me around on my walks around the park each day. So I will call him Bill.
I love how the rain leaves us with little gems of images everywhere. One of these days I am gong to work on my Macro images. I have no idea what the names of these are. I can tell you that once it blooms it turns into one of these. www.flickr.com/photos/sqlshaw/53942161569/in/dateposted-p...
Its not very often that I go and take a image and I get creative with how I want the edit to look. Truth be told, I am not very good at Lightroom. However, this image is exactly the way I wanted it to look.
Its when you find just the right place and just the right partner. You go at just the right time and use just the right bait... Your fishing hole becomes one that you never want to leave.
Rumor is that the Mermaid stories came from pirates that seen a Manatee. From this image I don’t see the resemblance, however when they dive into the water you can see why someone might confuse it. Either way it’s a fun tale.
A couple of days ago I had the opportunity to take a tour boat out with the goal to photograph dolphins, we had a very successful trip watching all the dolphins swim back and forth. But the magic came when I suggested where to go to see a Manatee. I have only been on the water here twice, and someone gave me a heads up on where they often hang out. So when the captain of our tour said where do you want to go, I was happy to tell him.
We were not there a minute before they started to rise to the surface, this one in particular started to come towards the boat. He would swim closer and then dive to the bottom. We started to leave the area and the curious guy just kept following, rising to the surface then a quick dive. After doing this 4 times he rolled on his side and showed his underside. A truly awesome experience. More photos to come in the next few days.
Dance like no one is watching... That is the way I would love to live my life. But I feel like I dance so poorly that even if I was alone I would ruin that area of space for hours to come. Therefore, I choose to just dance in my own mind, and try to find photos of others doing the deed.
When the sun likes to dance around the branches in the trees. Just don't stand to long, this is where the alligator likes to hang out.

I made it to the park just in time to watch the sun set. the attraction to this image for me is the glowing of the light just as we are ready to say goodnight.
The Bule surronds the Blue Heron, he sits and waits for his dinner. On Thanksgiving I am thankful that God has blessed me with living in a place that I love and with family and friends that love me as well. Happy Thanksgiving everyone. Would love to hear your story.
Someone thought it would be a good beach day. Not sure that I understand the big pile of shells, I assume these are oyster shells, but they are everywhere and look to be compressed into the rock. Maybe someone from Florida can explain this to me.
A stingray glides beneath the surface with the kind of control engineers spend decades trying to imitate. Its body cuts through the water without a ripple out of place, every movement deliberate, measured, and impossibly smooth.
From above, it looks less like an animal and more like a classified design a blueprint for silent travel perfected long before humans ever tried to copy it.
This image captures the quiet discipline of a creature built for stealth, a reminder that the ocean has its own operators moving missions we’ll never fully understand.

What image you do like better? I posted this one in Mono and one in color. I am curios because I like them both. Just arrow forward or back to see the other. Would love to know what you think. I believe I like the mono one better, but the blue in the color one really grabs my attention.
The crusie ships will come in early in the morning and then leave about 6 to 8 hours later with a whole new group of passangers. These folks are just waiting for their turn to board the ship.
A frined of mine who enjoys to brid watch as much as I do. She is an amazing souce of knowledge on where to find the birds.
