A floating spa in Longyearbyen harbor. It was very cold the day this image was taken, but the fellow at the spa seemed unfazed. Take note of the trangular warning signs on the front wall, including the one warning of walrus and the other regarding polar bears.

The Spa House („Kurhaus“), which is located directly on the Ahr river, was completed in 1905 according to the plans of the Cologne architect Oscar Schütz. The large ballroom has 700 parquet and 300 balcony seats. The Kurhaus also houses the Bad Neuenahr Casino and other rooms for congresses and celebrations.
