These rocks are well known to photographers who traversed the north coast of Cantabria in Spain. They are called Urro del Manzano and they were my main reason to stop near Liencres. This stretch of coastline consists of many interesting rock formations, rugged cliffs and they are all within short distance of each other. When we got there, we were hoping for some evening colours and light. Clouds were quite promising but a new band appeared just over horizon right at sunset, which meant that only a faint glow of sunset colour remained in the scene. It provided a lovely break from otherwise cold evening tones and cast enough light on the foreground rocks to give them a touch of warmth.

November is really hard. Today I drove more than 500 km through the Netherlands visiting customers . Left the house when it was dark, returned at home when it was dark. And throughout the day it was pretty much the same. Back at home I decided to reward myself with a sunny Red Bordeaux and a nice summer sunset. Unfortunately I cannot share the wine with you, but maybe the shot will help you a little bit to cure from November blues. Blavand, Jylland, Denmark

Did you know there is an actual science and prediction to movement photos in sparse lighting? I didn't until I was researching night photography. All those years I thought the movement and ghosts were cool...but didn't know one could control it some. Love the internet. (I will post the how to when and if I can re-find it. Will be more helpful than my limited knowledge and experience.)

Happy New Year!
I'm behind on editing things, so I jumped ahead so I could get this done just in time to still be relevant to the new year.
I feel like I should make some sort of goals for the new year, but I'm absolutely horrible at making concrete goals. I'm just going to try to continue to push myself and be the best person I can for the moment. Maybe one of my resolutions will be to start to form concrete goals and achieve them haha!
