My boy is home! My first Loong Soul, my first time buying the clothes with the doll, all aorund great experience! I order from clover-singing, which is Jerryama's (ebay) AKA Doll singing, off-ebay site. They ordered him when I made the down payment for the layaway, so he was at their warehouse before I finished paying him off, which was AWESOME because then it was only a week to get him.
He was brought in as a key but minor character, servant of the Old Men -or the demons who possessed them- and he's specifically paired with the Baroness. A you can see, she has nothing but stars in her eyes for him, the poor deluded lady.
BaiZe, who might keep that name or maybe get Baj, not sure, is one of 4 or 5 demon generals and the lead of them. So I need 3 or 4 other white skinned animal parted dudes to fit the rest. I am eyeing at least one or two more Loong Souls, but I'd love a Soom in there as well. My pure demons are all white and it helps save money. This guy may get a new wig as I stole this one off my Oni cannibal, but he did like the replacement wig, so maybe Baize keeps this, I dunno.
I kinda wish I'd sprung for the face up now but I can do my own later. For now, Baize is happy, the Baroness is happy, and I am happy!

"Many years ago when i worked as a volunteer at Stanford Hospital, i got to know a little girl named Liza who was suffering from a rare and serious disease. Her only chance at recovery appeared to be a blood transfusion from her five-year-old brother, who miraculously survived the same disease and had developed antibodies needed to combat the illness.
The doctor explained the situation to her little brother, and asked the boy if he would be willing to give his blood to his sister. I saw him hesitate for only a moment before taking a deep breath and saying,'Yes, I'll do it if it will save Liza.'
"As the transfusion progressed, he lay in a bed next to his sister and smiled, as we all did, seeing the color returning to her cheeks. Then his face grew pale and his smile faded. He looked up at the doctor and asked with a trembling,'Will I start to die right away?'
"He thought he was going to give her ALL his blood."

The latest series by the Iranian-Canadian artist Hoda Zarbaf, Soft Souls, is scheduled to be unveiled on Wednesday April 1, 2015 at Walnut Contemporary in Toronto. Co-curated by Raquel Vilhena and Sanam Samanian, the show renders the intimate—and often unspoken—feminal realities. The pieces each reveal a secretive yet tangible moment in solitude, together narrating an allegory of womanly existence.
Imaginative and carefully hand-stitched, the sculptures are made up of recycled textiles, pre-owned clothing, abandoned furniture and orphan dolls. These used materials are not only representative of past experiences, but also reminiscent of lost innocence. Stitches that are both controlled and disorderly unify the soft materials to solid furnishings, creating large figurative sculptures that evoke feminine tropes and bodily dysfunctions. They are women captured in the midst of existence: soft, true, and raw.
Much like the nature of their creator, contradictory concepts are running threads that bind the pieces: permanence and fragility; pain and pleasure; old and new; innocence and vice all sit together in a theatrical, animated presence. The curation of Soft Souls emphasizes universal commonalities. It presents these figures as unfiltered and erotic storytellers on a stage, each whispering about a stagnant experience.
“Using sexuality and humor, Zarbaf interrogates representations of womanhood through abstract forms...[her] work delves into women’s intimate moments and emerges with a three-dimensional portrayal of varied experiences.” - Nastia Voynovskaya, Hi-Fructose Magazine.
Born in Tehran amid early years of the revolution and war, Zarbaf’s imagination has been influenced by the age-old folktales of her childhood. These stories, in conjunction with her layered and one-off experiences, have formed a whimsical visual language that streams in her work. She received her BFA and MA in Animation from the University of Tehran. In 2008 she relocated to Canada to obtain an MFA from the University of Windsor. Over the years, her work has reflected the complexities of social, emotional, and gender identities. Zarbaf’s sculptural pieces are made intimately and meticulously in her Annex studio in Toronto.

This just popped up on DramaFever. I just finished "When it's at night" which was just okay. Just the picture alone intrigues me. Can you spot a guest star?
The Soul Nebula (Sharpless 199, LBN 667, IC 1848 and others) is a large emission nebula located approximately 6,850 light-years away in Cassiopeia.
Sharpless 201 (IC 1872 and LBN 675) is the smaller nebula on the left side of the image. While distance estimates put it beyond it, IR data shows that it is attached to Sharpless 199.
Sharpless 198 is the small nebula located at the bottom right. It is ionized by a star in the IC 1848 (Sharpless 199) cluster.
I spent way too much time on this image. It is too large for my AT90EDT field of view. I tried to create a side-by-side two panel mosaic but I probably would have spent less time using four panels since it is so tight up and down. Clouds, getting a late start and other factors led to it taking a lot more exposure time than what I used below.
This is one of the Astronomy League’s Bright Nebulae objects.
