After a lecture by David Gilliver at the club on Thursday I dusted down my box of Nic knacks in the garage and tried a few shots in the garden with a child’s light Sabre bought a few years ago.

the same camera (nikon F5), the same place (hundertwasser house), the same film (kodak BW 400 CN), the same lenses (vivtar 19 mm) but two different poi of views ;)
To celebrate my 1000th photostream view, I present you with this quicky "fun" piece - it's probably not too hard, but what is wrong with this picture?
I am spending an entire month here in Cali (Glendale) for work, so you'll be seeing some different shots from me, nothing like a change of scenery eh?
Thanks for all that came and visited my stream and commented. Keeps me coming back with more pics!

Started playing badminton again. I still can't hit the shuttlecock most of the time... but I'm getting there. :)
My new boss started today; an old co-worker of hers sent her flowers. Seeing blue hydrangeas in the middle of January is a great way to brighten a boring Friday afternoon.

tenacity
noun
Definition: persistent determination in holding to something, especially opinions, valuables, and routines
Synonyms: persistence, stubbornness, resolve, toughness, strength, nerve
The most difficult thing is the decision to act, the rest is merely tenacity. The fears are paper tigers. You can do anything you decide to do. You can act to change and control your life; and the procedure , the process is its own reward.

While Lileigh Grace napped today, i took a break from dishes, laundry, cleaning up the toys, and serving the meals that have been delivered almost daily by the friends of my daughter and son in law. We are truly blessed to have these people in our lives. For an hour and a half, i was free to do what i wanted, so i dashed home to make sure the cat boxes were clean for my 3 furries, and then took my camera to do a little macro communing with nature, halfway between my house and my daughters across town. i came upon so many pretty wildflowers (to some short sighted folks, they are known as weeds!) that have met their match in mother natures frosty mornings and 6 inches of the wet S word that have occurred in the past 2 weeks. This past week has been delightfully warm for NJ November....with crisp mornings, as a reminder that it is heading toward the season on dreary. Lileigh Grace and i were barefoot while playing in the park 2 days last week...it was close to 70 degrees....tonight we are back down to 32 degrees and tomorrow it is said it will hit the low 60’s.....with a steady rise throughout the week.......see me smile, as my tenacious side hangs on tightly to the warm days that mom nature offers, as she attempts to soothe my soul!
I hope your days are just as you like them...and that you are making the most of some “you” time. My days have been full, (fun filled!) and i am truly tired by the time my head hits the pillow, but i am very happy that i can do this.
i have some work to do tomorrow for my business....so that i will be able to fill an order for 60-70 Christmas cards for a local company!
PS. Try not to think about the fact that the weekend is halfway over and that mONDAY is looming and lurking...
i am going to try to approach this mONDAY with a bit of silliness.....it doesn’t mean i like it any better....just means i am going to try not to whine about it!! :)
Something that can only happen with Sammy becase he is the only one with long enough fur. I don't have many pictures with Sammy because he is normally in my mom's room with her while she is taking a nap. And by the time she's done napping the light is gone and taking indoor pictures with unnatural light is not good.
Recently I stopped allowing the cats to free feed. They would get two cups of cat food a day to eat how they so desired, and two cans of wet food to split the same way. We gave up on the balls that had to be hit around because Sabastian wasn't loosing weight (and he's the fatty). In fact, Sabastian just started sleeping on the table where the balls were waiting for OTHER cats to hit them around so he didn't have too. And he gained weight. So we went back to the just food in bowl technique. Then wee3beasties went raw with her kitties it made me feel bad that here I was trying my hardest to have a perfect diet OCD over the dogs and having fat cats. They are on good dry food, but I know that given having the dogs or the cats on raw it would be better for the cats because they are desert creatures and need the high water content in food to be healthy and are obligate carnivores while dogs are not. Does knowing that change that I am not doing the best I can by my cats? Eh, no. I'm hypocritical. BUT. I'm trying to change that. So now the kitties are fighting to the death over just two cans of food and then they each only get 1/4 cup of cat food a day. They have been on this new habit for about three weeks now and it has been interesting getting to know their habits better.
Sammy lives off the wet food and hardly ever touches his dry food. Storm will eat dry food but not a lot, the fact that he was getting overweight for the first time is also what helped me to try and do better by the cats. Sabrina, and I never realized this, eats like freaking speedy magee. She will be the first one to walk away from her feed, but will always have the most gone. Which makes me realize how she got over weight without appearing to eat much. She doesn't hang around the food bowl much. And she also has no problem beating the hell out of Sammy so she can eat wet food if she chooses. Sabastian basically lives off his dry food (so he will probably be the first I attempt to go raw with) and is getting used to the new patten. It has been neat watching them. Strangely they have become more active. I thought it was because they had to remind me to go get their food, but they are all more active period now. Sabastian runs around the house, is jumping and not just sleeping all day like he used too.
Bello recently hasn't been eating his meat. He has decided he is above it so I have been starving him (and he is better then a kid, he can go two days). I keep arguing if I should switch him back over to kibble or not, but unless he gets to an unhealthy weight we'll probably continue our silent battling. He seems to do this once a month. Last month he decided he only liked chicken. This month he has gone on strike with all meat period. Including liver which is his favorite. Well yesterday Sammy walked up to his bowl and started eating his meat for him. Bello walked up to him and got real close to Sammy's face just staring at him like "what are you doing >o" Sammy looked up and hit Bello in the face. "QUIT LOOKING AT ME YOU MUTT." So Bello bit at him (gently, it was his version of shoving him) so Sammy did what any cat in his position would do, he hit Bello again, grabbed the meat from the bowl (about a pound of meat) and started walking for carpet. I told the little brat cat to stop, he looked at me, and took off running to my mom's bathroom. I took off running after him laughing but not happy with raw meat being dragged over the carpet. Bello ate. Jealousy, it can inspire hunger.

This sign looks a bit wonky. On closer inspection it was curiously fitted that way. Perhaps by a non-driver? Or does it mean something else?
