Something that caught my eye at Central Washington State Fair. I tried to photograph colorful subjects which are everywhere at the fair. "Find Your Happy" is the theme this year. IMG_7662
It might not be the right time

But there's something about us I want to say
Cause there's something between us anyway

This has been quite something.
Following on from the Capital of Culture in Liverpool last year a group of Liverpool photographers through Flickr met up in January to see if we could develop what happened last year further.
We've been meeting every week since, become firm friends and really enjoyed the whole experience.
Along the way we've done some promo events taking portraits of people in Liverpool and documenting a well known street in the city but for the next month we've done something rather beautiful.
We have an exhibition taking place at St Lukes Church during the month of August which we've set up and funded ourselves. Everyone has pulled together from a group of 30 photographers and has been a great team. There has been so much going on with Flickr, Facebook and Twitter (with more to come tomorrow).
I've never worked with a nicer group of people and it's been a peak experience.
If you're in Liverpool come along to the exhibition (Thursday to Sunday, 12 - 4pm).
There's a private viewing tonight at the church from 6 - 8pm too.

74. Something new.
After a lecture by David Gilliver at the club on Thursday I dusted down my box of Nic knacks in the garage and tried a few shots in the garden with a child’s light Sabre bought a few years ago.
Amazing what you can do with a bit of positioning. This was taken in my back garden with this Cross Garden Spider on her web above me. The backlight is courtesy of natures lightbox, a sun lit cloud. Front lighting is via my led bicycle light mounted to the tripod ring of the lens.
well sort of. I tackled my first pattern ( start to finish) it's from Lotta Jansdotter's simple sewing book. I thought her All-Day Tote would make for a good diaper bag. My mother gave me this awesome Japanese fabric that had to be used rite away !
It has a side pocket & a nifty hidden slide pocket in the front. A little too slouchy, even with the interfacing but who cares.

Started playing badminton again. I still can't hit the shuttlecock most of the time... but I'm getting there. :)
My new boss started today; an old co-worker of hers sent her flowers. Seeing blue hydrangeas in the middle of January is a great way to brighten a boring Friday afternoon.
