..look ma, the sun [ain'] shinin' on me..
same old rain ..
..sentimental sway..
same old rain ..
..blue skies bring tears..
..same old rain..
..skulls of every C.O.G. ..
..scraping paint..
..song i've been singing my whole life..
..fickle fascination of an everlasting god..
..same old rain.. radio ..
..could you believe in heaven , if heaven was all you had..
..who wouldn't stand inside your love ..
..and die for..
who wouldn't be the one you love..

This song has been stuck in my head all day, and it deserves a better photo, but I had a busy Sunday.

No matter where you are
I can still hear you when you dream
You traveled very far
You traveled far, like a star
And you are
All of those yesterdays
Coming down

Smashing Pumpkins - V Festival, Melbourne, 5 April 2008
As I heard one guy in the crowd say to another: "Dude, can you believe we're about to see the Pumpkins?!?!"
Amen. Especially when they played Zero.
I’ve been listening to a lot of grunge 90′s music, so naturally Smashing Pumpkins is in the playlist. This line comes from the song, “1979″. I used to rock out to this song alone in my room… in my JNCO jeans, haha.
Billy Corgan of the Smashing Pumpkins has connections with the Integrative Medicine department and he agreed to be interviewed to talk about their fundraising efforts. He also performed at a charity concert. One of my photos from that concert was stolen and used without my permission on this Chilean website:

I’m reading today’s newspaper behind the counter.
Billy Corgan’s voice is filling the air, while Jimmy busy mopping the floor.
A couple of minutes ago a drunk man spilled some slurpee
and left us a lot of spare change.
It’s 3.09 AM.
There are only five people in the room.
The light in the right corner is still flickering.
And from afar, I can hear the roar of a pack of motorcycles.
Same old night, same black sky with no stars
TING TUNG…a customer.
1…2…3… say the magic word
“Welcome to 7eleven, how can I help you?”
A tall man is standing there wearing a rabbit mask, looking straight at me.
He has something inside his tartan jacket and pointing it towards me.
A gun, I scream inside.
“Calm down… This is a robbery!”
His voice is dark, like the night.
I look at him, he has this surprised look on his face.
He throws a Burger King’s doggie bag with his other hand,
and asking me politely to fill it with money.
Three drunk teens and Jimmy still standing with his mop, doing nothing.
I open the cash register…DING.
I fill the brown bag with money.
I give him the brown bag, no drama.
His hand touches mine. I look back at him,
his eyes are smiling behind the rabbit mask.
“Tonight.. Tonight…” Mr Corgan sang softly.
Everything moves in slow motion.
He said “thank you,” and run to the door
I push the alarm button, the siren starts kicking in.
He runs as fast as a rabbit, as a black car approaches.
And off he go without a trace.
it’s 3.13 AM.
My name is Alice.
And i’m falling in love.
Fool enough to almost be it.
Cool enough to not quite see it.
Doomed.
Pick your pocket full of sorrow,
and run away with me tomorrow.
June.
We'lll try and ease the pain,
but somehow we'll feel the same.
Well, no one knows,
where our secrets go.
I send a heart to all my dearies.
When your life is so so dreary.
Dream.
I'm rumored to the straight and narrow.
While the harlots of my perils.
Scream.
And I fail.
But when I can, I will.
Try to understand.
That when I can, I will.
Fool enough to almost be it,
and cool enough to not quite see it,
and old enough to always feel this.
Always old, I'll always feel this.
No more promise, no more sorrow.
No longer will I follow.
Can anybody hear me?
I just want to be me,
when I can,
I will.
Try to understand,
that when I can,
I will.

The world is a vampire, sent to drain
Secret destroyers, hold you up to the flames
And what do I get, for my pain?
Betrayed desires, and a piece of the game
Even though I know - I suppose I'll show
All my cool and cold - like old job
Despite all my rage I am still just a rat in a cage
Despite all my rage I am still just a rat in a cage
Then someone will say what is lost can never be saved
Despite all my rage I am still just a rat in a cage
