ho visto la luce.
flickr non è un blog e non mi piace scrivere descrizioni o commenti chilometrici alle foto. ma io un blog non ce l'ho più e sentivo l'esigenza di scrivere qualcosa su quell'evento che è stato per me il concerto degli smashing pumpkins.. quindi ora approfitto di quest'angolo, non me ne vogliate :)
quello di domenica era il concerto che aspettavo da una vita. o meglio, che sognavo da una vita. quando otto anni fa si sciolsero, chiaramente svanì con loro anche qualsiasi speranza di vederli dal vivo. quanta invidia provavo per mio fratello, che aveva avuto la fortuna di poter andare all'ultimo concerto.. credo di essere andata avanti per mesi a chiedergli "ma questa l'han suonata? e quest'altra? questa no??", fantasticando sulle luci, suoi suoni, suoi movimenti che billy poteva aver fatto.
ma domenica ho provato tutto quanto in prima persona, ed è stato indescrivibile.
penso di non aver mai realizzato veramente quello a cui stavo per assistere, finchè non ho visto b0lly salire sul palco e qualcosa mi è scattato dentro. e no, non era nausea causata dalla gonna-domopack :D
quando è iniziata tonight tonight, perfetta, mentre cantavo ho ripensato istintivamente al giorno in cui intrapresi quella che allora sembrava un'impresa epica: tradurre il testo della canzone. i tempi erano quelli degli inizi delle scuole medie e non avevo mai tradotto niente prima.. ovviamente i risultati furono pessimi. conservo ancora il foglio con la "traduzione" ma non oso rileggerlo! io però ne andavo fierissima, anche solo il fatto di aver provato ad avvicinarmi alle parole di b0lly mi riempiva di carica, ahah. pensavo tutto questo mentre lui era lì, con le sue smorfie idiote e a momenti inquietanti.
difficile passare dalle quattro pareti della cameretta allo spazio immenso del palamalaguti senza subire un certo contraccolpo psicologico :)
mi spiace ma non c'è critica che tenga, per me quello di domenica è stato, e rimane, un concertodellamadonna. senza disarm come temevo, ma non demordo e continuo a sognare il giorno in cui sentirò pure lei.. tanto la prova che i miracoli ogni tanto accadono l'ho già avuta!

Mellon collie is the 3rd album from American alternative rock band The smashing pumpkins. Praised by critics for it's ambition and scope, Mellon collie earned the band 7 Grammy award nominations including album of the year...Its a most interesting album,One minute Angels and harps the next the heaviest Grunge/Gothic/Metal you could imagine...Talented bloke that Billy Corgan.

Only long after I got home I realized there was a 2nd phantom-like European Lynx hidden right behind the one I had been photographing all along, and only visible in this shot.
When I saw this photo I was absolutely astonished, I kid you not!
Admittedly the pervasive November gloom made the pen really, really dark.... (-;

As part of my birthday week celebration, we went to see my all time favorite band, The Smashing Pumpkins. There was a skirt I'd decided to get for the show, but it was gone...hence an old standby returns.
