A epic drift busting day in January of 2014. A UPRR Troy Grove sand job is busting thru a small drift near the small unicorporated hamlet of Elva, IL as around 10 railroad photographers witnessed the scene. Thanks to Mark Llanuza for driving Theresa and I on this epic photo shoot day.
Day labor carrying a huge pipe on his shoulder which usually takes 2-3 persons.

During our college term holidays when the sun is smashing hot and spend hours walking in the chase Water Park.......What a lovely day to just walk and take photos....
On May 9th I will be giving a 1 hour presentation on my photography to the St. Albert Photography Club, in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada... well St. Albert, which is a suburb, in a hotel.
I'm still working out what I'll focus on. I'm happy for the opportunity but a bit nervous...of being in a hotel...and all the humans.

TODAY
Today is the greatest
Day I've ever known
Can't live for tomorrow,
Tomorrow's much too long
I'll burn my eyes out
Before I get out
I wanted more
Than life could ever grant me
Bored by the chore
Of saving face
Today is the greatest
Day I've never known
Can't wait for tomorrow
I might not have that long
I'll tear my heart out
Before I get out
Pink ribbon scars
That never forget
I tried so hard
To cleanse these regrets
My angel wings
Were bruised and restrained
My belly stings
Today is
Today is
Today is
The greatest day
I want to turn you on
I want to turn you on
I want to turn you on
I want to turn you
Today is the greatest
Today is the greatest day
Today is the greatest day
That I have ever really known
Yet another picture of the Toledo patch going through the thick forests of Oregon, it sure was a productive chase.

Trip to Mamhead this morning as the forecast was good for mist, the forecast turned out to be right, there was plenty of it! Maybe a bit too much in some spots but there was definitely shots to be had. Quite surprisingly I was the only one there to witness this smashing view looking out towards the Exe estuary.
Shot with d3100 and tamron 28-75mm.
Any constructive crit welcomed.
Cheers,
Gary
Rehoboth Beach, DE #latimestravel2016
So...I have just returned from almost two weeks on the East Coast visiting family and friends. We spent a few days at the beach in DE and I had to get up early to catch the sunrise...but it was worth it.
This bit of artistry was created for Southpark Seafood in Portland, Oregon. Made by Oregonian sculptor Keith Jellum, the hand-forged bronze fish measures 11 feet in length. It was placed in a very fitting location on this seafood restaurant on Salmon Street.

Steve Rodgers is a busy boy these days, but he still has time to take down an AIM warehouse now and then.
In a blatant attempt to get my Facebook page looking not so anemic I have done an alternate version of this pic with a fan favorite, pop over there and take a peek, if you like it add me on the Facebook thingy Mac bob, coz I'll be posting a few pics you won't see here.. You never know you might like one or two
30 years ago today I went to Spike Island for what has been described as the "Woodstock of the Madchester generation" and got fairly mashed. Today I ran 4 miles in the knowledge I was coming home to a cold shower because the boiler is knackered. Such is life, I suppose.
