This is the coastline in Ravello Italy in May of this year.

As I was leaving the first snake, I saw another a few feet away. This one was much more docile, a common black snake looking for heat and grasshoppers.

Rattlesnake slithered out from under bush just an hour after Dayle had stood in the flowerbed opening hurricane shutters returning from 6 week trip. Appeared as I watered flowerbed. Scary We were lucky. Certainly will be on higher alert in yard.
