A Single Leaf to make you smile on Saturday! This leaf is floating on our local wildlife pond!

Mallard female with ducklings

Once was a railroad bridge then converted to a road bridge, north of Byars, Oklahoma along the Washita River.

Well it's that time of year to go through the archives and I had to re-share this photo of Bow Lake. We woke up at 4am to see sunrise and while taking my shot a lone female Mallard appeared in the water which is something you don't see very often. Kris...

I climbed down the icy rocks to get a better look and perhaps some more definition to my photos and noticed that one of the eagles had flown off. The light was pretty but quickly vanishing so I watched it for a while, took a few shots and left as well.

Despite all my trips to Banff this incredibly cold morning was actually the first time my friends and I were able to visit the beautiful Moraine Lake with snow-capped mountains. Finally getting to see the fresh snow perfectly reflected off the completely still lake was truly serene and I can only hope the picture does that moment justice.

Hope everyone had a blessed Sunday.

Jerry Patterson this one is all yours.

As always, thanks for stopping by and looking, I appreciate your comments and visits.

For the Smile on Saturday challenge: "observe the O..."

I've got folders full of shots of oranges .. they have such importance in my memory. As a post-war baby brought up with rationing of absolutely everything that you didn't grow in your own garden ..... Christmas was the one time we tasted a real orange! It was always in the toe of the Xmas stocking (which really was a woollen stocking!) and the last delight to emerge.

So there is a special place in my heart for the orange. And the most exotic oranges I can find are the ones with some leaves attached.

This is a part of another series of flower photos I'm working on. This series in color with no vase, a portrait series if you will. This series will use one of my favorite flowers., the Calla Lily.

A single pole, a single silo...at least the trees have each other.

All I did here was a small amount of crop to eliminate a bit of road that seemed like a distraction.
