I posted the Pinky and then realized I had snagged the wrong flower from the desktop, so got this one posted it and thought the date was wrong on it to then I realized that the date of theme posted was 3/18 so 3/23 was okay....wow! what a mix up in my head tonight, DATE good, TAGS good, in the group I think!

Today is a blue day at Color my World Daily and we have another awesome theme at Looking close on Friday: a single leaf.
I have the hardest time to pick up leaves for my pictures. I always try to find the perfect, most beautiful and colorful leaf there is. So I end up, walking with leaves in my pockets (of course, whenever I decide to pick up some leaves I always forgot to take a bag or something to put my leaves in…) and trying to find another one, and another one …. People in my neighborhood know me as crazy leaf lady (or crazy Flower thief for those closer to me LOL). Of course, I put all my leaves between pages of my books to dry…This way I always have some awesome props to photograph.

If you decide to travel along this highway into the bowels of the Universe, carry enough fuel to cover the billions of light years ahead of you. You won't find a place to refuel. When you have travelled this distance without finding anything, not even a little bit of intelligent life and you reach the far reaches of the Universe... don't be scared... there's nothing there, either. Only the "nothing". Or since everything is cyclical, perhaps you have returned to the place where you started, full of wisdom from your long trip. It's probably better to look for intelligent life on Earth, but it's also very likely that you'll have a hard time finding it. Don't worry about not understanding the Universe or the reason for its existence... you're not Einstein, but one day you'll understand that... The Universe is wounded, but it still has infinity ahead of it. It still has you and me. Merry Christmas to all and to the infinite Universe that is within you.

Pink Floyd - Shine On You Crazy Diamond, Parts VI–IX
"Shine On You Crazy Diamond", was written as a tribute to Syd Barrett, one of the founders of Pink Floyd. He was also known as "The Crazy Diamond Syd". Barrett was a very creative musician and is considered one of the rock icons, with a strong influence on many artists, very especially to David Bowie. Syd Barrett is a key piece to understand the evolution of rock in the 70s.. Excessive drug use, especially LSD, caused him serious mental health problems. Syd Barrett died in 2006 at the age of 60. Always shine diamond.
The Universal is a science fiction song written as a tribute to two films by film director Stanley Kubrick. In the video, the Blur members wear outfits similar to Alex and his gang of thugs, the protagonists of the movie "A Clockwork Orange." The image used for the cover of the single alluded to what is possibly Kubrick's best film: "2001: To Space Odyssey."

The Highland (Scottish Gaelic: Bò Ghàidhealach; Scots: Hielan coo) is a Scottish breed of rustic beef cattle. It originated in the Scottish Highlands and the Western Islands of Scotland and has long horns and a long shaggy coat. It is a hardy breed, able to withstand the intemperate conditions in the region. Today is an orange day at Color my World Daily and the theme at Crazy Tuesday is « single ». So you will understand that Mr. Teddy Bear couldn’t be with us this week since he isn’t single anymore… However, Mr. Teddy Bear has a very good friend who happens to be single: Mr. Dino. That is why he is the hero of today’s picture. Mr. Dino is truly a nice guy but some of his personal characteristics make it very difficult, for him, to find love. First of all, Mr. Dino has a very, very high voice. People constantly call him « madame » while on the phone. He has very short arms which makes difficult to pick stuff from the floor… Also, being blue isn’t appropriate for all the decors… And you surely don’t want to repaint your house at the very beginning of a relationship. Also, he has a very scary looking shadow, which might scare a few potential candidats. All those details are the reasons for Mr. Dino being single. But who knows, maybe after today’s picture he will find love…

Hello my amazing Flickr friends !
Today is a blue day at Color my World Daily and the theme at Looking close on Friday is: a single berry or cherry. As you can see I chose a raspberry. And since it is very difficult to photograph its own hand, I asked Mr. Severed Hand … well to give me a hand with this picture. I don’t know for you, but when I was a kid, I ate my raspberries like this. I always start to put them on my fingers and then I had raspberries fingers. Of course, my mother wasn’t a fan of this kind of manners, but I’m sure she was eating her raspberries exactly like me when she was younger. Today, my sons love to play raspberries fingers each time we have raspberries… and juste like my Mom did: I’m not approving any playing with food at my table.

A tiny nest that fell out of a tree after it was finished with; a little plastic egg from my Child Care Centre; a Crimson Rosella feather from the bird bath; in the Mulberry bush which needs a good trim this Autumn.
