Manifest plainness,
Embrace simplicity,
Reduce selfishness,
Have few desires.
-- Lao Tzu
As you simplify your life, the laws of the universe will be simpler; solitude will not be solitude, poverty will not be poverty, nor weakness weakness.
-- Henry David Thoreau
Possessions, outward success, publicity, luxury - to me these have always been contemptible. I believe that a simple and unassuming manner of life is best for everyone, best for both the body and the mind.
-- Albert Einstein
I love the simplicity of this composition and how my eye travels down to the tip of the arching leaf. Inside the bulb of the glass vase one can see the balcony railing outside the window.

Life you had, is the life we have
The time you were, is the time we are
Simplicity of life which we are enjoying, is what you lost.

Purity and simplicity
are the two wings
with which man
soars above the earth
and all temporary nature.

It is very simple to be happy, but it is very difficult to be simple.
-Rabi Thakur
We all pursue happiness, but don’t often think about chasing simplicity. Perhaps happiness could come more often if we were simple. Simple is – if you think about it – quite complicated. Often people misidentify simple through thick glasses of their prejudices as some kind of retardation where the soul has failed to mature. But to be simple, one must be mature enough to know what truly matters. And therein lies the complexity. Amidst the outer world vibrant with sensory stimuli and the inner world full of bittersweet memories, what do we choose to keep and how much can we realistically discard? Perhaps simplicity spans a spectrum where one end is the heart of a child and the other is the mind of a saint. Everyone, on most days, exist somewhere in between those extremities.
So, the question is, how simple are you?
I have been looking for minimalist photo opportunities recently during my adventures.
I came across this unassuming rock, just as the morning sun began glowing through the thick morning fog. It ticked all the boxes, grabbed the camera and captured this.

Antoine de Saint-Exupery: “Perfection is achieved not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing left to take away”.
Let´s keep it simple? What do you think???

‘Ανδρος – Κυκλάδων: Όλη αυτή η γη, που τη θαυμάζεις από ψηλά έχει στα χώματα της άγια ονόματα, θυσίες, κόπους και σκληρούς αγώνες για να κρατηθεί η γη με μαλτεζόπετρες στις πλαγιές των στημάτων ................................................Andros – Cyclades -Greece: All this earth, that you admire from above has in its soil holy names, sacrifices, labors and hard struggles to keep the land with stones (maltezopetres) on the slopes……
