My son enjoying the pool. Kids never cease to amaze me how they can have so much fun doing simple things.

I made this into our Christmas card that year.

Imagine if seashells could speak, and share with us their journey, their adventures along the way, and however far they've come.

today i had pritty funny photosession with balloons and my dear Mom :) ....to be continued. And the most difficult part of the day was inflating baloons :)

Natures' Palette - in the Backyard

Been nostalgic lately, what with Harry Potter coming to an end (theatrically, at least) and watching reruns of 90s shows.

Then today we watched Star Wars & introduced it to a new generation & I realized I can't actually remember a time when Star Wars was not part of my frame of reference.

Sometimes you just need to stick to the classics in life. You know? Like stories about good vs. evil, or a pair of jeans & some converse.

I received my spring issue of Toast a little while ago and really haven't had a moment to look thru it entirely. So this morning, i took some quiet time for myself and set up a little photo shoot in our kitchen...

Be part of "Hollywood in DC" at the exclusive, private screening event of the motion picture "Simple Things" and meet the film's stars! Under the banner of the AAP 2007 Legislative Conference with over 120 of the leading pediatricians from across America, this is going to be a night to remember! The AAP, with its 60,000 member pediatricians, is the preeminent advocacy group in the nation for children's health.

An inspirational story about a pediatrician, his son and a community. "Simple Things" is about Dr. Evan Gibbs (Cameron Bancroft) who loses his wife to cancer and in his grief, distances himself from his 9-year-old son who also is struggling with the loss of his mother. From their familiar big city location and the father's demanding practice and driving ambition, they are guided to a small town where simple things lead both of them to a deeper appreciation of life and for those with whom they share it.

Artfully crafted by writer and Best Director award winner, Andrew C. Erin, from the real life experiences of renowned pediatrician, Dr. Olson Huff (Recipient of North Carolina's distinguished Order of the Long Leaf Pine and The National Child Labor Committee's Lewis Hine Award) "Simple Things" is set in the quiet and breathtakingly beautiful mountains of North Carolina and gently provides a message to all physicians, caregivers and individuals at large that should not be ignored: the priceless value of caring.

The event is being made possible by the American Academy of Pediatrics, Back 40 Films and a select group of corporate sponsors.

I met this gentleman on my way to Pendra from Amarkanthak. He is a farmer and father of 3 kids, all of them happily married. He visited Amarkanthak Temple to offer his prayers on the Mahalaya Amavasya and was returning to his small home town in Madhya Pradesh.

During the 45 minutes ride he (and other couple who were travelling with us) reminded me again on how meaningful, lovely, and beautiful life is if you keep it simple. All the (unnecessary) collection of gadgets that I run behind throughout the life time can’t give the happiness that this person has.
