Yesterday afternoon I had to go down to my local store and as i walk passed this shop. I noticed the shop was showing there new Easter products.
I had no idea the still-new NS 4851, painted to commemorate the Tennessee, Alabama & Georgia Railway, was leading NS 148 when I left the house some weeks back. I was just headed to the Springfield train show with no plans to shoot anything. Funny how things change on a dime like that! Once I heard this train was out there and still west of Springfield, I decided to grab a quick shot at the old Shops tower. My timing was spot-on, basically right as I went to park my scanner lit up with the request for an NS eastbound across the interlocking. Can't complain about that. I was kind of surprised that nobody else was here, but I guess it is a tough spot to get in and out of during a chase. Works for me, anyway.
Sharp looking unit, the TAG is. Certainly a nice surprise to see a properly executed heritage unit in this day and age, cough cough. I still want the P&WV unit myself, though. I don't know what they would do to make that thing fit on a big GE, but still...
Been a bit slow in pulling photos off the SD card lately, though I haven't been out as much either. Finally getting caught up after my recent weekend excursion to Ohio - makes me want to travel and shoot more again! I need to drag myself out of the house more, I think.
After way too long of working on this MOC, it's finally done! The Doughnut Shop! A Modular Building with a western style

The coffee shop.
It was a slow lazy morning, the early morning workers have been and gone.
The tables are empty, not that they were used, it was too early for that luxury as the morning rush have grabbed their coffee and by now are most likey behind their desks ready to face yet another day of drudgery.
Staff in the coffee shop have cleaned up and are now ready for next wave of customers to arrive at about 10.00am.
It will be the same faces telling the same story that they told yesterday and the day before.
Like their early morning counterparts they all have a secret desire to break out of the mundane lifestyle.
None will ever discover or event attempt find the utopia they dream about, for nothing will change.
In the meantime a young mother walks down the street with her babe in a stroller.
She too is perhaps lost in her own thoughts of finding that mythical lifestyle that will change her life for the better.
The barista's and waitress's prepare to provide for the needs of their customers and as always they have barely enough time to be unoffical counsellors to their customers.

Well, we don't actually go shopping this year! All our purchases come to the door! I have been let down by my veg delivery this week, by 2 different sources! This is my son's box, which gets delivered to us for convenience sake, plus an Amazon smile. I know! Using Amazon is not the most environmentally best, but it is the only way I can get some stuff quickly and easily!
