Seats at the end of a low pier. Good for fishing, watching fishing, or watching boats and ships come and go. The ship in the picture is a bulk carrier called "Adaline".
Each is 6" x 9.25", made as a set. Edition of 4 as a set, but I have plenty as separates too. October 2010.
I did this as an experiment, I haven't done a linoleum cut for many years and my last one was so awful I never wanted to do these again. But I had a linoleum and realized they aren't so horrible, so I do plan on doing more.
While I'm not a real fan of sailing ships I did like the way this shot came out after a bit of cropping. Can't tell you what her name is, all I know is that she was coming into St. Kitts.
"Dar Młodzieży (Polish: Gift of the Youth) is a Polish sail training ship designed by Zygmunt Choreń. A prototype of a class of six, the following five slightly-differing units were built subsequently by the same shipyard for the merchant fleet of the former Soviet Union. Her sister ships are Mir, Druzhba, Pallada, Khersones and Nadezhda.
The ship was launched in November 1981 at the Gdańsk shipyard, Poland, and commissioned for service in July 1982 at Gdynia, thus replacing her forerunner Dar Pomorza. Her home port is Gdynia. The Dar Młodzieży is the first Polish-built, ocean-going sailing vessel to circumnavigate the globe (1987–88), thus repeating the famous voyage of her predecessor (1934–35)." (Wiki)

entrance to the docs of port Phillip. saw some huge container ships going past whilst I was at this location. they are amazing to see, the shear size of them.

I found this old file festering in my Lightroom Catalogue. Thought I would wipe the cobwebs of it. Taken with my Canon G7 in 2008, Just realised I had Black Hair then ,,,,lol
My computer's been broken, but look what I bought. >:D I can now have actual naval battle MOCs with numerous ships. This is gonna be awesome.
EDIT: This is now a project. I intend to make an awesomesauce pirate ship. I'm even pick-a-bricking for this.
