I tidied up the shelves, so it was time to update the family picture! I put them all in shoes, and put stands on some of them because their hair gets flat leaning against the wall. I've become a displayer, I admit it.

the family finally outgrew the two shelves they were occupying and booted my old stuffed animals off the top shelf.

I will never again say "my blythe family's complete." I have come to terms with the fact that I am a hopeless blythe addict. I've made sure to save room for a couple more. The kenners aren't pictured - they of course, live in the high rise.

I got a serger (er, I am "borrowing" the serger) from Paul, so the cool cubby drawers had to be moved off the desk, too...

Lyme Regis is a beautiful little seaside town on the Jurassic Coast in the far west of Dorset. Famous for its Cobb harbour, it is also renowned as being a centre for fossils. It was the home of Mary Anning (1799-1847), who searched for fossils in the area's Blue Lias cliffs, particularly during the winter months when landslides exposed new fossils that had to be collected quickly before they were lost to the sea. She nearly died in 1833 during a landslide that killed her dog, Tray. Her discoveries included the first ichthyosaur skeleton correctly identified; the first two complete plesiosaur skeletons found; the first pterosaur skeleton located outside Germany; and important fish fossils.

Looking across Lyme Bay, in the centre of the picture is Charmouth, and on the right is the Golden Cap - the highest cliff on England's south coast. On the extreme right is West Bay, which acts as the harbour for Bridport.

We've been so, so busy this week. Wil has 4 weeks off work, so the first week was packed with work on the house.

Most notably, we've worked on the bathroom, which is almost finished! Picture tomorrow!

Do you remember having to write that essay on the first day back in school? Well, I have something to write about! I built this shelving unit for my son who needed some extra storage space for CDs and DVDs. My typical construction is to put those dividers in, not only to serve as 'book ends' and keep the CDs from falling over, but also to add strength for the shelf above it so it doesn't sag with the additional weight.

Now he has the task of putting things on it!

I love these shelves, trying to find different festive items to place on them was a fun task. Some are new and some are old... but all look great together :-)

Working on filling the frames, the letter r was handmade from cardboard, still needs a couple coats of spray paint. :) It was extremely affordable! ;)

It has been six years ago since I last posted a picture of the shelves in my lounge. Since then I have rebuilt several models and I built a few new ones, so the collection that is on display has changed quite a bit.

All my models that are currently in one piece. Either waiting for completion or disassembly.

Rearranged the windowsill shelves in my workroom. It's a bit crowded!

Update; I have sold the G2 and the 14-42mm kit-lens and bought me a Lumix GM1 with the Lumix G Vario 12-32mm lens and a Lumix GH3 with the excellent Lumix G X Vario 12-35mm f/2,8 lens. I will, most likely, sell some more cameras and lenses and focus on the G X series of lenses. It will take some time thought, the G X lenses are VERY pricey and the next I want is the Lumix G X Vario 35-100mm f/2,8...

I'll have to take a new photo of my "Lumix shelves" but I have a new cabinet for them as well...
