Food and Shelter little bird and his friend camped out by the bird seed for a long time, about 8 inches over night as you can tell and still snowing, shot in North Carolina.

In the frigid Antarctic winter penguins find shelter in each other. To prevent themselves from freezing to death, they huddle together in tightly-packed groups to conserve heat and shelter themselves from the intense winds.
High above the steamy jungle and the lush canopy, the rainforest storm crackled with hues of blue, white, purple, and green.
Thunder clashed like cymbals and lightning danced over the trees and our bodies.
The rain made a symphony in the leaves and trickled onto our skin, glistening in the streaming sunlight, like little diamonds.
Animals fled to the canopy to hide from this natural parade. But we did not care. For we were sheltered in each other's gaze.
The day fell away and the night rose for us to enjoy the hot sticky darkness of the raging rainforest storm together...

two minutes after this shot the last poppy petal fell down...............
All children deserve a safe warm house. Growing up without such a basic need destroys their childhood and impacts on their health and education.
With such a cold winter this year its important to remember those not as fortunate as ourselves, who don't have a nice warm home. Shelter do such a fantastic job in helping those with housing difficulties we think its important to recognise their efforts.

So much driftwood on Pelican Beach. Someone got creative by the looks. I'm not sure if they were building a shelter or maybe preparing for an (illegal) bonfire. Pelican is in Wyrrabalong National Park, and like any national park you are supposed to leave everything just the way it is.
Thought for Friday - We were waiting for the waiter in a restaurant the other night. Didn't that make us the waiter ?
This cow shelter was built for scottish highlanders, but they have been removed years ago.

Funny... when you realize
You're the one who has to care, who has to dare
To tear down your own wall.
Then... with open eyes,
You discover everywhere, out of nowhere,
Friends who help clear the bricks, as they fall.
But you get hurt and recall
Bricks out in the open air,
Too exposed, too bare.
And you frown
At the old wall pile, where it lies.
But maybe instead of a wall,
You could build a warm lair
With mortar that won't tear.
And you gaze down,
A new inner smile on the rise.
My heart, I try to be generous and give it for free.
My soul, I lean on the cautious and safe-keep it with me.

I still layer and brush-texture all my pictures as I love the brushed-in painting feel.
Cruise ships or should I call them Ghost Ships anchored off Torbay due to the pandemic where I captured 5 of them joined by a Royal Navy vessel sat under heavy skies as a shower rolled in over the sea.
