Shared Spaces paving where vehicles & pedestrians are supposed to share the space. This concept is still quite alien to the drivers departing the Vero Building car park in the evenings.

I've invited M'boy to share space on my photostream for a while! He draws various monsters and dragons and I scan them into the computer and we photoshop them together! Enjoy!

Can lorries, pedestrians and cyclists ever mix?

2nd image for week 26 of the 53 Week Challenge - "Surprise Us- Photographer's Choice". I was driving through the countryside and spotted this pasture where both horses and deer were grazing. I didn't have time to get my tripod, (too much activity would have startled the deer, & I had to be quick). Because of low light, I had to shoot with a high ISO of 6400; so a lot of luminous smoothing had to be done.

I took advantage of the Australia Day long weekend (okay, the holiday was Thursday, but I made it a long weekend) and shot some street photography whilst waiting for a friend of mine.

Varanasi’s waterway is home to wildlife, livestock, bathers, Sadhu (holy people) as well as the throngs of vendors, taxi drivers and visitors to the area. This shared space knows no boundaries, with people and animals passing from the river, to the Ghats, to the streets without anything or anyone interrupting them – as shown here with this water buffalo and bather in shot.

sharing space... blue herons are quite tolerant of other waterfowl....Most water birds get attracted to a spot, if they see another bird fishing/hunting productively in a certain area. It's amazing how different species have so much tolerance for each other. Great Blue herons are about 3'-4' tall and they have to seriously focus to see a fish in water. This water always has some ripples, unless it has surface ice.
