From my yard, my rocks get a green color from the moisture living next to a lake.

Happy Macro Monday !

8x10 stained glass, colorfusion tiles on wood base. Finally able to grout and had to wait for the sun to come out for once to get the greens to show best.

Oxalis regnellii is called "shamrock plant." It has leaves shaped like shamrocks and pretty white flowers with five petals that grow on long stems. The shamrock plant blooms in the spring. Despite its name, it is native to South America and South Africa and does not hail from the Emerald Isle.

Araneus trifolium - Shamrock Orbweaver, Arachtober 29th.

One of Shamrock Coal Company's two Oneida & Western Railroad coal sets curves through Marietta, GA in May of 1986 behind SD40-2 #9952. The coal company bought this equipment, including locomotives and cabooses, in order to get a better freight rate from L&N.

Another one of the shamrocks. I love the way the leaves and flowers fold up at night.

Rochester.

On every trip I make to Echuca I pass this hotel and find it so eye catching. I have uploaded a shot of it in the past but regularly feel compelled to attempt to improve on it. As it is on a busy intersection there are limited angles to vary the shot so you hope for some drama in the sky, which I hope I captured on this occasion.

O, love is the soul of a true Irishman; He loves all that's lovely, loves all that he can, With his sprig of shillelagh and Shamrock so green. I'll seek a four-leaved Shamrock in all the fairy dells, And if I find the charmèd leaves, oh, how I'll weave my spells!

One of my favorite plants...and an oldie (50+ years), from my grandpa's original plant. Hope you enjoy St. Patrick's Day!

My shamrock plant is one of my favorite models for taking macro shots. Looking back I wish I would have picked the brown dead flowers off before I took the image, but it's still pretty! Have a wonderful Saint Patty's Day!

Mainstreet of Shamrock, OK The following 17 images are all taken in April of 2015 in the small, Oklahoma ghost town of Shamrock. I took the opportunity to drive out there once again yesterday and found this entire main street of buildings gone. It seems lighting struck them and the ensuing fire leveled everything. Needless to say, I am glad I was there that prior April. At least this part of Shamrock's history remains. A lot to the old vehicles that were here are also gone now.

Strange to find so many in Crete.

Shamrock leaves...garden macro

I've gone for a old time look with this one, removing a lot of saturation, I've also removed something from the scene but left some evidence behind, can you find it?
