Following not to far behind SF X4006E is SF X4013E with five units all SD39s is just west of Cajon Pass summit at the location where the north and south tracks come together on June 1972. The power on this train is normally found on the Santa Fe Kaiser coal train which was most likely delivered a coal train to Kaiser Steel Mill in Fontana early in the day or the day before. Since it takes time to unload the coal cars and rather than just let the power sit around at Fontana or San Bernardino the Santa Fe is putting the power to taking freight cars to Barstow, CA.
