Passing through Aylesbury bus town centre is Redline (SK52MPV) a 2002 ALX400 bodied Volvo B7TL formaer Transdev London VA296. It is seen having just worked service 321 from High Wycombe heading for Aylesbury bus station to terminate. Vehicle has also recently been resprayed all red instead of wearing the former Transdev livery.

Preserved (M513VJO) a former Oxford Cityline 1994 Marshall bodied Dennis Dart that was formally in use with Autocar of Kent on daily service work and school runs. It is seen parked inside the Red Rose Travel yard (Stone) having a new front headlamp bulb fitted.

Parked up on an industrial estate in High Wycombe is this 1993 Plaxton bodied Mercedes minicoach belonging to M&M Coaches. It is seen not in use before being used on local student services. Formally operated by Regent Coaches.

Having just worked service 54 from Stroud is this former Stagecoach 1993 step entrance Plaxton bodied Dennis Dart (L720JUD) of Cotsworld Green, it being one of the very last two step entrance single deckers to remain in service all the way until the end of 2015 just before the new DDA enforcement outlaws this vehicle forever. It is seen in Cirencester about to make the return 54 journey to Stroud. Photograhed 2 days before withdrawal.

Working staff shuttles and seen on Church Street (Luton) heading back to base is Arriva the shires 5141 a 1996 Northern Counties bodied Volvo Olympian one of three still in service in the shires sceduled for withdrawal in the summer of 2016. New to Luton & District.

Passing through fairford Leys estate (Aylesbury) is (J778CEV) a 1992 Alexander bodied Leyland Olympian of Z&S Transport seen on its way to work local school contract services in Thame. Formally operated with Dublin Bus in Ireland.

Working service 50 is Arriva the shires (Y527UGC 6310) a 2001 ALX400 bodied DAF DB250 seen passing through Wendover on its way to RAF Halton where it will terminate and return to Aylesbury. New to Arriva London as DLA310.

 

Church street in Luton is where we see Arriva the shires (W432XKX 5432) a 1999 ALX400 bodied Dennis Trident seen parked up not in service having just worked staff shuttle duties from the Luton depot.

Circling past Aylesbury Train Station is (R874MDY) a 1997 Optare Spectra bodied DAF DB250 of Heyfordian Travel seen working the annual free shuttle bus service to the Bucks collective show in Weedon. New to Eastborne Buses.

Working the annual Bucks County show free shuttle services is (ESU940), (P568SWC) a late 1990s Alexander bodied Volvo Olympian of Heyfordian Bus seen parked outside Morrisons supermarket (Aylesbury) awaiting to depart for the show grounds in Weedon. New to Dublin Bus in Ireland and formally worked for Ensignbus as 168.

L116HNV a 1993 Northern Counties bodied Dennis Dart is seen parked up inside the Vale Travel yard on Gatehouse road (Aylesbury) Displaying route 24 to Blecthley and was seen just a few days before photography in Milton Keynes working the 24/5s which is odd seeming this vehicle is usually only used on school work due to the high step entrance saloon. Unfortunately no photograph was taken on the day it was seen in Bletchely bus station.

Luton Galaxy center is where we see Arriva the shires (V267HBH 3267) a 1999 Wright bodied Volvo B10BLE seen working service 70 to Milton keynes via Leighton Buzzard. This vehicle has seen a recent refurbishment to comply with new 2016 regulations along with 3264 & 3266.

Seen awaiting departure in Cirencester town centre Working service 50 to Swindon is this former Arriva Cymru (817) (R817YJC) 1997 Plaxton bodied Mercedes 814D now in operation with AD RAINS Coaches mainly for school services and as a general back up vehicle. The bus is seen here amazingly in public service despite the DDA enforcement due to a vehicle shortage after the usual Dennis Dart had serious mechanical faults.

This 1989 Carlyle bodied Dennis Dart is seen leaving Duxford after attending the showbus 2015 event. It was formally operated by Alder Valley Travel and is now in preservation.

Stagecoach Corby depot is where we see this 1997 Northern Counties bodied Volvo Olympian of Stagecoach Midlands (R113XNO 16113). It is een parked up not in use on the day and is one of a fair few Volvo Olympians still active in Corby. New to Stagecoach London VN113.

Awaiting scrap disposal at the Vale Travel yard (Aylesbury) is (Y52HBT) a 2001 Optare Solo that was withdrawn during the summer of 2015 after suffering some serious mechanical faults. It was used daily mainly in Milton Keynes on services 37 & 24/5s. New to Kent County Council

Passing through Fairford Leys estate (Aylesbury) is former Yellow Buses of Bornmouth (M454LLJ) a 1994 East lancs bodied Dennis dart that is used now days by Vale Travel on school work. the bus is seen proceeding to work its daily service in Thame from the Lord William school.

Awaiting to work service 54 to Cirencester is (L720JUD) a 1993 Plaxton bodied Dennis Dart one of the last step entrance single deckers left in service with Cotsworld Green and is seen here in Stroud on its second to last day in service before withdrawal. New to Thames Transit (Oxford) and served with Stagecoach in Devon as 32020.

Thame high street is where we see (X154FBB) a Plaxton bodied Volvo B7TL of Redline buses seen working service 110 to Worminghall having just arrived from Aylesbury. Formally London Central VP5 and is one of three former London Plaxton President Volvo B7TLs in service with Redline. Since this photograph was taken the bus has been converted to single door configuration and resprayed metallic red.

Seen at the Hamiltons depot is this 1989 Northern Counties bodied Volvo B10M that is seen not in use on a Sunday. The bus is used for Student services primarily and private hire. Former Arriva Medway Towns 640 and new to London & Country.

Working service X10 is this 1992 Plaxton bodied Dennis Dart running as part of the Canvey Island bus rally 2015. This bus is now preserved by a transport museum and sees use at anual events throughout the year

Awaiting departure on Dunstable high street working service 24H to Luton interchange is this 1996 Northern Counties bodied Volvo Olympian of Arriva the shires (N38JPP 5138) one of three still surviving in service at the Luton depot. This now one of the very few step entrance buses to still exist with the mainstream operator. New to Luton & District.

Hiding at the back of the Cotsworld Green depot in Nalsworth is this 1995 Alexander bodied Mercedes 709D that has been sitting here for over a year now where as the others were sold on due to the new DDA enforcement. It is now privatly owned by a memeber of staff for preservation but is currently off the road needing work. Formally operated by Stagecoach as 40730.

Leaving the Arriva Midlands (Telford) depot working staff shuttle services to Telford bus station is this 1995 East Lancashire bodied Scania L113CRL the last step entrance single decker left in the Arriva fleet throughout the UK. It survived in service until the end of December 2015 before its inevitable withdrawal.

Seen at Sgegness bus station on before departing on local services is this early 2000s Ex lincolnshire road car volvo B7TL

Former Arriva London DLA091 (S291JUA) a 1998 ALX400 bodied DAF DB250 is now seen with the shires as (6243) working service 500 from Watford seen outside Aylesbury train station just before terminating at the bus station. The bus was based at the Hemel hemstead garage at the time along with sister vehicle (S272JUA) both have now moved to High Wycombe tto join the third sister vehicle also based with the shires (S285JUA). All three are currently still in service.

Seen leaving the Herberts travel yard (Bedfordshire) is this Ex go north east eastern coach works bodied Leyland Olympian on its way to serve local school routes.

Parked up in the Nailsworth depot is Ebley Coaches (P382FEA) a 1996 Alexander bodied Mercedes 709D that is mainly used on school contracts or as a backup vehicle for service work. New to Midland Red as 382 and also served with Arriva Midlands as 2282.

Seen parked at High Wycombe bus station is (T416AGP) a Marshall bodied Dennis Dart SLF that is seen awaiting to work service 158 to Marlow via local villages. This bus was one of a large batch purchased by sister company (Redline) and was the only survivor by 2015 and had transfered to Red Eagle. Sadly this bus had now been withdrawn and currently sits in the Red Eagle yard having being salvaged for spares. Bus was new to London Central and then served with Go North East.

Arriva the shires 5139 (N39JPP) a 1996 Northern Counties bodied Volvo Olympian is seen parked on Church street while being used on staff shuttle duties. This bus is one of the last Volvo Olympians in service with the shires others being (5138-41). New to Luton & District.

Arriva the shires (W128XRO 3301) a 1999 Wright bodied Volvo B10BLE is seen at Stevenage bus station about to work service 55 to Letchworth. Stevenage still retained many buses of this type most being W & R plates until the end of 2015 when the DDA enforcement ment end of the road for these vehicles.

Here is what remains of Ex first Thamesway late 80s Mercedes minibus 709D, Last in use with a local Oxfordshire operator Luxicars for school services but after breaking down in use one day it was simply left to rot for 2 years and salvaged for parts. Its seen here awaiting to be sent off to scrap in a few days after photographing.

Working shuttle services from the Canvey Island transport museum to the bus rally event at Labworth Park is this 1997 Plaxton bodied Dennis dart of Arriva Kent (P191LKJ 3191) that was still in service at the southend depot towards the end of 2015. It was seen here attending the Canvey Island bus rally and has now been withdrawn. New to Kentish bus as 191.
