Travelling through Princess Risborough high street is (L116HHV) a 1993 Northern Counties bodied Dennis Dart of Vale Travel seen operating occasional service 120 to Thame having just arrived from Watlington. This photo was taken in the summer of 2015 and this vehicle is still in operation on this service in spring 2016.
It was a miserable day outside and since the top of the Conservatory is all glass, it made for some dismal lighting conditions to shoot in.
I did like this view though.
Parked outside Cranfield University is (NDZ3170) a Wright bodied Dennis Dart that had recently returned to the road after 11 years of being SORN and abandoned in a depot in Kent. The bus was planned for preservation but due to the tatty state of the vehicle it was used for a month then sold to be converted top a motor home but is now presumably scrapped. Formally served with First Somerset & Avon as 45470 & new to Centrewest Buses (London) in 1990 as DW170.
Seen inside the Arriva Aylesbury depot is this 1989 Workington ECW styled Leyland Olympian that is privatly owned by chief engineer at Aylesbury & Wycombe. It is seen up high on the maintenance ramps while work was being carried out from behind out of view. This bus was new to Badgerline and has also served with First Devon & Cornwall as 34968, it was bought from Whipsnade Zoo the adds of which it still carries.
Lanes Coaches (W461UAG) a Plaxton bodied Dennis Dart is seen working service H11 to Boxommor having just departed Hemel bus Station. New to East Yorkshire Motor Services as 461 and still carries corporate livery and fleet numbers. It had recently been purched from EYMS by Lanes to replace sister vehicle W462UAG.
The next victim for the scrappy is seen at the Redline depot on Gatehouse way (Aylesbury) up on the ramps having the entire rear and engine stripped for spares. The bus was in use on daily school services up until recently and was one of the nicest Dennis Darts in the fleet but due to its age it does not comply with DDA regulations as to the cause of its inevitable death. Formally operated by Sullivan buses.
Labworth Park is where we see this 1997 Plaxton Bodied Dennis Dart (P238MKN) that was attending the Canvey Island vehicle rally. Now preserved and repainted in its original Maidstone & District livery its now privately owned after being retired from the Arriva Medway Towns fleet formally no 3238.
Passing Aylesbury bus station working service Red Route 9 is Arriva the shires (W487YGS 3487) a Plaxton bodied Dennis Dart seen having just departed Aylesbury bus station bound for Stoke Mandeville Hospital. This bus was new to the Shires in 2000 and has since been withdrawn and scrapped.
Dropping off at South Benfleet Station is this 1992 Plaxton bodied step entrance Dennis Dart (K909CVW) of the canvey island Transport museum seen painted in its original Thamesway colour scheme. It is pictured here before setting off back to attend the Canvey island bus rally in October 2015. This vehicle also saw much of its service life with First Essex as 3414 in Southend.
Parked up at Milton Keynes coach park is this 2001 ALX200 bodied Dennis Dart of Grant Palmer seen awaiting service later in the day. Formally Stagecoach London 34270.
Parked on Church Street (Luton) is Arriva the shires (N38JPP 5138) a Northern Counties bodied Volvo Olympian seen Not In Service while being used to ferry staff from the Luton depot. New to Luton & District in 1996.
Awaiting to pick up students outside Chesham Grammar school is (W403UGM) a Plaxton bodied Dennis Dart of Red Eagle buses seen about to work service 177 to South Heath, New to Travel London as 8403 in 2000. (YJ56WVS) of Carousel Buses is seen behind working service 1 to High Wycombe.
Church street in Luton is where we see Arriva the shires (W432XKX 5432) a 1999 ALX400 bodied Dennis Trident seen parked up not in service having just worked staff shuttle duties from the Luton depot.
Approaching Chesham Broadway is Arriva The Shires & Essex (KE51PTX 3509) a Plaxton Dennis Dart working service 55 from Aylesbury bus station via Amersham. New to the shires fleet in 2001. This service has now been taken over by Redline Buses.
Parked up at High Wycombe bus station is (S285JUA 6242) an ALX400 bodied DAF DB250 of Arriva The Shires & Essesx seen Not In Service before later working service 1 to Chesham Broadway. New to Arriva London in 1998 as DLA85.
Arriva the shires (V422DGT 3225) a Plaxton bodied Dennis Dart is seen reversing out of bay at High Wycombe bus station working a service 30 to Downley estate. This vehicle was new to Arriva London in 1999 and has since been withdrawn and scrapped.
Awaiting to work service 54 to Cirencester is (L720JUD) a 1993 Plaxton bodied Dennis Dart one of the last step entrance single deckers left in service with Cotsworld Green and is seen here in Stroud on its second to last day in service before withdrawal. New to Thames Transit (Oxford) and served with Stagecoach in Devon as 32020.

Arriva the shires 5139 (N39JPP) a 1996 Northern Counties bodied Volvo Olympian is seen parked on Church street while being used on staff shuttle duties. This bus is one of the last Volvo Olympians in service with the shires others being (5138-41). New to Luton & District.
Having just worked a staff shuttle service from Telford bus station is Arriva Midlands (N168PUT 3468) a 1995 East Lancs bodied Scania L113CRL the last step entrance single decker vehicle to have survived with Arriva until the end of 2015. This vehicle is still currently used by Arriva daily on shuttle duties and private college services.
Having just departed the fairford Leys shops working service Silver Rider 1 to Buckingham Park is (W473UAG 166) a Plaxton bodied Dennis Dart of Z&S (Aylesbury). New to East Yorkshire Motor Services as 473.

Loading up in Rickomansworth town center is (LJ03MYM 4536) a Wright bodied DAF SB120 operating service 324 to Maple Cross having just come from Watford, New to Arriva London as DWL65 in 2003.
Performing driver shuttle duties is Arriva Midlands (N168PUT 3468) an East lancs European bodied Scania L113, seen picking up members of staff at the Telford depot to take them to Telford bus station and back. New to Midland Fox in 1995.
Seen in Hitchin after working a local school bus service is this (P346ROO) a 1996 East Lancs bodied Volvo Olympian that was new to U.K North Manchester as fleet No 209. It is now in daily use with Herberts Travel of Bedfordshire for school and private hire uses.
Loading up in St Albans town centre is (S466LGN) a 1998 Plaxton bodied Dennis Dart of Centrebus seen working service 34 to Dunstable town centre.
Sitting on a local housing esate (Southcourt) in Aylesbury is a 1988 Toyota Carina (F898NMJ) 2.0 Excutive model looking to have been left here for quite some time with lots of mold forming on the bonnet.
This 1989 Carlyle bodied Dennis Dart is seen leaving Duxford after attending the showbus 2015 event. It was formally operated by Alder Valley Travel and is now in preservation.
Working service 165 to Stoke Mandeville Hospital is (LR02BBO 280) of Aylesbury operator Z&S Transport seen about to enter Aylesbury bus station having just come from the depot. New to Metroline as TPL279 and is one of a large batch of these vehicles bought by the company.
Passing Through Fairford Leys estate is former Arriva Kent & Sussex 5149 (R637MNU) a 1997 Northern Counties bodied Volvo Olympian on route to work its daily school service at the Lord Willams school in Thame, under contract by Vale Travel.
Working the short service 501 from Tring is this East Lancs bodied Dennis Dart of Red Rose Travel seen passing through Aylesbury town center heading for the bus station where it will terminate and head back to the depot. One of two sister buses that were new to Red Rose, other being (Y358LCK).
Coming into High Wycombe bus station is Arriva The Shires & Essesx (Y504UGC 6304) an ALX400 bodied DAF DB250 seen working on driver shuttle services from the Wycombe garage. New to Arriva London in 2001 as DLA304.
Parked up inside the Stagecoach Bedford depot is this preserved tri axle Alexander RL bodied late 80s Leyland olympian, Named britains biggest bus and is still in use with stagecoach mainly used on shool services but does see public use occasionally.
Former Countryliner late 90s Plaxton bodied dennis dart is seen parked at Herberts travel main depot in Bedfordshire.
Seen at the Hamiltons depot is this 1989 Northern Counties bodied Volvo B10M that is seen not in use on a Sunday. The bus is used for Student services primarily and private hire. Former Arriva Medway Towns 640 and new to London & Country.
Awaiting departure outside Aylesbury train station is (W251DWT 156) a 1999 Optare Solo of Z&S Transport working the Silver Rider 1 service to Fairford Leys estate having just returned from Buckingham Park.
Passing through Cirencester town centre having just worked service 881 is this 1995 Alexander bodied Volvo B10M that is currently on loan to Cotsworld Green until the beginning of 2016 when the DDA enforcement wipes out this class of vehicle. It is one of three of the last step entrance buses to survive until the end of 2015 with the company. Formally operated with First Bristol & Somerset as 60600. New to First Mainline (Yorkshire)
