A highlight of November 2021 was VIA Rail Trains detouring over the York and Bala subs between Toronto and eastern Ontario & Quebec. VIA 6416 leads one such detour through the Don Valley as it knocks down the intermediates at Mile 6.3 of the Bala sub.
Danny and I were searching for Mom...he was screaming his head off...I was posing for our cousin's camera. I can't remember last week, but I remember this! Circa 1979.
This image is not an original composition. I saw another photographer’s photo that captured this scene from the same spot. It was simply the most original take on this well known scene and I wanted to see if I could find it and put my own personal stamp on it. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. I certainly hope Guy Edwardes agrees. This is The Hermitage near Dunkeld in Perthshire, Scotland.
A lonely polar bear in the ice. If you look closely you can see the blood in his face. The bear look so small in all the ice, but when it get close, it sure is quite big. It is the biggest of all bears and it is on top of the food chain.
Picture is from this summer when it was warm and bright.
