We were up early for a Winter Bird Count and found that the moon had not yet set. This is a few days after the full moon (Snow Moon).

One of the best BR two-tone green retro paint jobs was applied to Freightliner 47830 (D1645) 'Beeching's Legacy' at the time on-hire to ROG and was used on this Andrew Barclay Kimarnock to Laira T&RSMD GWR HST stock move back in April 2016.
* I joined the gallery at Red Bank blissfully unaware that it had missed out the Preston pathing stop and was 48 early at this stage. Adding to the drama, 4S43 the 'Tesco Express' was bearing down on us from behind ... phew!
6S99 Carlisle Kingmoor Sdg(Drs) to Georgemas Junction C.E. Class 68s head north on the HML working in Top and Tail formation with an empty nuclear flask sandwiched between them. 68006 in the green NTS Nuclear livery and 033 in DRS blue compass logo livery on the rear.
An early morning stock move from Carlisle Kingmoor to Burton behind work worn DRS 37716 was potentially worth photting this morning.
I was aware it was to be six 'coffins' but was not prepared for three of them being the 'scabbiest' I have ever encountered! Not sure why this move came about but I am sure somebody out there knows?
