Avantasia è l'opera metal ideata da Tobias Sammet, la voce del gruppo power metal tedesco Edguy. Il titolo del progetto è la fusione delle parole Avalon e Fantasia e descrive "un mondo al di là dell'immaginazione umana" (come è scritto nel libretto del primo album).

 

La band tedesca Avantasia arriva all'Alcatraz martedì 16 aprile per presentare al pubblico milanese il nuovo disco The Mystery Of Time, che include collaborazioni con artisti come Bruce Kulick (ex-chitarrista dei Kiss) e Russell Gilbrook (batterista degli Uriah Heep). Il gruppo è attivo dal 2001, anno di uscita del concept album The Metal Opera.
