We did a lazy tour on this day. We reached the altitude of 2900m with the ropeway. We wondered that not more people fell down. There is no barrier when you enter the crash grounds.

Cleverly engineered to look like an accident, the below-ground, out-of-sight crash was in point of fact a murder most foul. On her website, dianaspeaks.info, speaking through one of her many mediums, the spirit of Diana claims that Emad (or Dodi) al Fayed had survived the impact of the crash, as did she, but that he was "finished off" by having his neck broken by someone dressed as a fireman. The question is: did their bodyguard, Trevor Rees-Jones (the only person in the substituted Mercedes to be found wearing a seatbelt) did he pull the steering wheel, deliberately crashing the car into the 13th pillar?

One of four used in the first Gulf War. However they were not used much as they couldn't carry all the equipment required for long patrols behind enemy lines.

Mid Caption: Shah Wali Kot Offensive

Afghan National Security Forces (ANSF) partnered with Australian Special Forces from the Special Operations Task Group conducted a deliberate operation to clear a Taliban insurgent stronghold in the Shah Wali Kot region of northern Kandahar province.

The Shah Wali Kot Offensive comprised synchronised and deliberate clearance operations involving Australian Commandos combined with a number of surgical helicopter-born assaults from Special Air Service (SAS) troops on key targets.

Removing Taliban insurgents from Afghan communities allows the Government of Afghanistan to establish a presence and gain the trust of the community to provide them with necessary infrastructure and security that was not provided by the insurgents.

The Shah Wali Kot Offensive was part of Australia’s contribution to Operation Hamkari, the Coalition operation to extend the Government of Afghanistan’s influence into Kandahar City.

In 1980, the SAS were given the go-ahead to assault the Iranian Embassy at Princes Gate in London. Six days previously, a group calling itself the 'Democratic Revolutionary Front for Arabistan' took over the building, capturing 26 hostages. In an 11-minute mission, in front of the world media and in broad daylight, the SAS recaptured the building killing all but one of the terrorists.

In this vignette, we see part of blue team absailing onto the front balcony (in reality they climbed onto the front balcony and red team absailed onto the rear, but I took some artistic licence).

I just couldn't get a picture that shows this. Etched in the top glass is "SCANDINAVIAN AIRLINES SYSTEM" along with the SAS logo.

Another item that saw a use, the base is scratched and there's a few minor chips in the top. Still nice though
