Scandinavian Airlines is best known for their short-haul network from their 3 main hubs at Copenhagen in Denmark, Oslo in Norway and Stockholm in Sweden. The Scandinavian flag-carrier also operates a small network of long-haul flight provided by their relatively small fleet of Airbus A330-300s and Airbus A350-900s.
The lion-share of Scandinavian Airlines long-haul flights operates from their Danish hub at Copenhagen-Kastrup, with a small handful of long-haul flights also operating from their Norwegian hub at Oslo-Gardermoen and their Swedish hub at Stockholm-Arlanda. Prior to the introduction of Airbus A350-900s back in late-2019, the carrier operated 8 Airbus A340-300s which were all withdrawn by mid-2020 following COVID-19 and the introduction of Airbus A350s.
Scandinavian Airlines were heavily impacted by COVID-19, the carrier restructured in the intervening years which was ultimately not successful owing to growing competition as well as the closure of Russian airspace to European carriers, this saw the airline filing for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy Protection in the United States during 2022.
The restructuring has seen 2 Airbus A350-900s returned back to the leasing companies which are expected to be taken on by Taiwan's flag-carrier, China Airlines. The carrier has also withdrawn 2 Airbus A330-300s which have too been returned to their leasing companies as well as one Airbus A320neo.
Los Angeles sees a Scandinavian Airlines providing a single daily flight from Copenhagen; SK931/932 was introduced back in January 2020 to replace their previous flight that originated from Stockholm-Arlanda. Of course, the route was paused during COVID-19 which recommenced on 15th May 2021 initially on a thrice-weekly basis which has been operating daily for the best part of over a year.
Currently, Scandinavian Airlines operates 4 Airbus A350s, all of which are Airbus A350-900s. Scandinavian Airlines have 2 Airbus A350-900s on-order.

SAS Amatola (F145) is the first of four Valour-class frigates for the South African Navy by the European South African Corvette Consortium.
Amatola, in keeping with a naming convention depicting acts of valour, was named after the Amatola mountain range in the Eastern Cape area where British forces fought the Xhosa nation in late 1852. Mrs Zanele Mbeki (wife of then President Thabo Mbeki), named the vessel at the Blohm & Voss Thyssen Rheinstahl, Howaldtswerke Deutsche Werft (HDW) and Thales shipyards in Germany just after noon on 7 June 2002.

This is a 1970s-vintage galley cart from SAS airlines; when I found it at an aircraft scrapyard, it looked like this.
It's got a tiny little footprint, but it holds a lot of stuff.

safe and sound, one of the best crews in London of that time for what London was really about, bombing.
reminds me of great handstyles, some of the best were the bus bombers who learnt there craft on windows like rech, moet, etc.
in 1989 the insides of the northern line were battered by two sas writers: mes and fin. for me, fins tag was the best i saw in london. it was a pen tag, skinny letters, tall, and finnishing with an n to die for for, an absolute classic that covered stations and tubes alike, always the other side of the tracks.
