There is a region of sandstone along the coast of eastern Vancouver Island that is endlessly fascinating to me. Often they have rounded holes in the rock thant make them look sort of like sponges

These rocky outcrops are located along the Grassy Cove Segment of the Cumberland Trail along Black Mountain, just southeast of Crab Orchard, Tennessee.
The valley or cove floor is actually a limestone sink, with these huge boulders lining the tops of the surrounding mountains. You will find rugged sandstone, bejeweled with pure white quartzite pebbles, and a maze of convoluted, fluted corridors, strange, stack-stoned chimney rocks and pillars, unexpected windows and passageways winding in glorious confusion.
I have no idea what this is. It sit near the hill entrance to what used to be the Ohio Hospital for Epileptics. The sandstone is like what the building were made of, taken from the hill... but I have no idea what it is , who the man is and why the opposite side from the man was not carved or if it was what was carved there.
I may have something to do with Dr. Kineon the first administrator.
