I'm a little worried I'm taking on a bit too much at the moment. In addition to my very full time job as a SAHM to two small children, I'm also trying to juggle:
My breastfeeding counsellor training. I had a tutorial this morning and am feeling all fired up about it again, but I struggle to create the time in between tutorials to do the reading, get on with assignments and even just to get my head around how the course works.
Becoming a Pampered Chef consultant. My first show is tomorrow and I'm really looking forward to getting into the swing of it, interacting with grown ups with no children around, sharing my enthusiasm for some of their cool gadgets & products, and bringing a little money into the household. I'm also terrified and seriously disorganised as I can't find the time to properly go through the materials they've given me. I'm worried that I won't get many shows set up - and then worried that it'll take over my life if I do!
and of course, HPAD-ing. 3 years in and I'm still loving it. I'm thrilled with my previous sets but feel I've set myself high standards and need/want to keep on challenging myself and my photography skills.

Im nördlichen Ortsteil der 680-Seelen-Gemeinde Niederleis (MI) steht heute am Ende der Leonardistrasse dieser etwa 3,5m hohe ziegelgemauerte postmoderne Breitpfeiler. Er ruht in 267m SH im alten Ried "Aussern Häusern" auf einem neu errichteten Grundfundament auf dem der Bildstock neu aufgemauert wurde. Am Grundfundament ein Sockel der nach vorne hin offen ist mit zwei stützenden Säulchen. Am Sockel eine vorkragende Deckplatte auf dem der Breitpfeiler sich erhebt. An der vertieften Rückwand ist ein polychromes Bild des Hl.Leonhard zu sehen wie er Tiere segnet. Zu beider Seiten der Nische Lisenen. Die anderen drei Bildstockseiten sind glatt abgemauert. Am Bildstock ein leicht vorkragender gefaschter Dreiecksgiebel in dessen Giebelfeld ein modernes Bronzekreuz montiert ist. Geschützt wird der Bildstock durch ein Satteldach aus Blech. Am First einst ein grosses moderner einfaches Eisenkreuz. Die alte barocke Kapelle wurde während der Kriegswirren 1945 verwüstet. 1947 liess Kaplan Albert Sahm diesen Bildstock in dieser Form neu errichten. Bekannte Restaurierungsjahre sind: 1960, 2022. Der Hl.Leonhard von Noblat, lebte etwa von 500 - 559 in Frankreich, war ein Benediktiner-Möch, Diakon, Einsiedler und Klostergründer in dem er Abt wurde. Leonhard gilt als Patron der Gefangenen, des Viehs, der Fuhrleute.

As the Arrowford steeds rode out the band of men continued towards them. As they drew closer Thomas could see they were desert nomads. All men of fighting age and all armed with a bow.” Steady now.” he cautioned his men. “Let’s close a little slower and see what their intentions are”.
But their intentions were not hostile, as no bow was lifted or arrow drawn.
“Good morning!” Hailed Thomas “What brings you out here?”
“Good morning to you” replied one of the men in the front rank. From whose appearance and bearing Thomas singled out as the leader. “We come to Arrowford to speak to its Master, as requested by my Prince.”
“I am Master of Arrowford”, replied Thomas “Prince Jarius has sent you?”
“Ah, greetings Master of Arrowford, I am Sahm. Indeed Prince Jarius has sent me. Allow me to explain.
We come from an ancient nomadic tribe who roamed these deserts long before the name Loreos was wrapped around it. Although at first we resisted the rule of the Roawian Prince, there came a time when the Prince performed an act of great honour for our people. Ever since this time we have held an oath of fealty to the Prince and his descendants.
I do not know what has happened recently in your politics and little do I care, but the Prince has called us and we always heed his call. I am to meet with the Master of Arrowford and offer the services of me and my men. Here we stand as requested.”
Thomas studied the men for a moment. There had been no mention of this in his instructions from Prince Jarius. “Your men are archers?” he asked more to fill the awkward silence than anything else.
“My men are the finest of archers.” The nomad corrected. “We spend our lives stalking our prey on its migration around the great Loreesi deserts. Our babes hold bows before a rattle. We hunt, we fight, we live with the bow in our hands. Our skill is supreme. We could demonstrate. Maybe an apple on a head at five hundred paces, but why waste a good apple? I have been sent for. I am here. It is for you to say what for.”
Thomas suddenly had an inkling. The one thing Master Toft had been most concerned about was his force’s effectiveness at archery. He had demonstrated to Thomas how this was a serious weakness, but there really hadn’t been much Thomas could do about it in the short term. His men trained regularly with a bow, but their real strengths were with sword and horse. Was this gift from the sands due to word sent from Toberg to the Prince’s Court?
Thomas was not about to look a gift horse in the mouth. The nomads certainly had an assuredness about them that suggested they were at least half good as they obviously thought they were.
Thomas dismounted his horse and took the hand of the Nomad leader “You are welcome in Arrowford and welcome to my army. Our preparations are well underway.”
The Nomad leader’s eyes locked with Thomas’s and his grip tightened “Good. This suits us well, for at war we work best as part of a larger army. Together may we bring Glory to Loreos.”

Rock music is a genre of popular music that originated as "rock and roll" in 1950s America and developed into a range of different styles in the 1960s and later, particularly in the United Kingdom and the United States.[1][2][3] It has its roots in 1940s' and 1950s' rock and roll, itself heavily influenced by rhythm and blues and country music. Rock music also drew strongly on a number of other genres such as blues and folk, and incorporated influences from jazz, classical and other musical sources.

By the late 1960s, referred to as the "golden age"[1] or "classic rock"[2] period, a number of distinct rock music sub-genres had emerged, including hybrids like blues rock, folk rock, country rock, and jazz-rock fusion, many of which contributed to the development of psychedelic rock influenced by the counter-cultural psychedelic scene. New genres that emerged from this scene included progressive rock, which extended the artistic elements; glam rock, which highlighted showmanship and visual style; and the diverse and enduring major sub-genre of heavy metal, which emphasized volume, power and speed. In the second half of the 1970s, punk rock both intensified and reacted against some of these trends to produce a raw, energetic form of music characterized by overt political and social critiques. Punk was an influence into the 1980s on the subsequent development of other sub-genres, including New Wave, post-punk and eventually the alternative rock movement. From the 1990s alternative rock began to dominate rock music and break through into the mainstream in the form of grunge, Britpop, and indie rock. Rock music has also embodied and served as the vehicle for cultural and social movements, leading to major sub-cultures including mods and rockers in the UK and the "hippie" counterculture that spread out from San Francisco in the US in the 1960s. Similarly, 1970s punk culture spawned the visually distinctive goth and emo subcultures. Inheriting the folk tradition of the protest song, rock music has been associated with political activism as well as changes in social attitudes to race, sex and drug use, and is often seen as an expression of youth revolt against adult consumerism and conformity.

...should be easier right? Granted, its been six years but I've already been through the leaky diapers, late-night feedings, sore nipples, non-existent sex life, and the colicky cries. So, why does it seem so much harder now?
Maybe it's because back then I was a SAHM for my daughters first year of life. I was her sole provider. Now, with my son, I have to go back to work when he's a month and a half. I'm already dreading returning! I already have seperation anxiety. I'm trying my hardest to take advantage of the time I have with him now, but I can't help but be depressed about it.
With my daughter, I breastfed exclusively for 18 months. In the beginning it was tough because she too had jaundice and was supplemented with formula, but I pumped and bottle-fed her my milk until she got used to the breast (although it took 2 months). Now with my son, it took 9 days postpartum for my milk to come-in and even so, it's not even
enough. I only pump enough to barely cover the bottom of the bottle per double-pumping session. I should be getting at least 1.5 ounces by now. That reason and because we're still pending the results of his Galactosemia test, I've been supplementing with a soy-based formula. It's so frustrating and stressful. I know the stress may be attributing to my low milk supply, but damn I'm doing everything I can! I really do try hard to stay positive, I attempt to nurse at every feeding for half an hour if he latches on, and I pump for 15-20 minutes afterward. I'm even taking some galactogues (Mother's Milk tea & Fenugreek seed pills). Imagine, nursing for 30 minutes, bottle-feeding for 20, then pumping for another 20 minutes 7-10 times a day just to establish my milk supply?!
I AM EXAUSTED!
My goal is to nurse exclusively once the negative test results are in, which should've been yesterday but his pediatrician said it can take another week. Great. I've only got 4 more weeks to accomplish this goal otherwise I'll have to formula feed which is something I really don't want to do. I know formula is just as good as breast milk. After all the Mr. was formula-fed and I know a ton of smart individuals and other kids who were as well, but I feel like like such a failure if I can't even nurse for a few months.
It doesn't help that my son cries bloody murder at every diaper and clothing change or that I have a 6 year old who needs to be driven to and from school 5 days a week. Oh and don't forget having to help with homework too. This is all so overwhelming and I can't imagine how much harder it'll be when I return to work. How do you working moms do it?!
I just want to give up sometimes.

Barada ... River of Gold
This picture was taken in the first winter of Damascus in 2011, and the picture shows a branch or channel Alakrbany that branch from the right bank of the river Barada under Square Marjeh to meet this channel with branch Banias at the Bab Al Faraj to come out of the city of Damascus in the south and Troy lands Jaramana and Akraba and Beit Sahm .
It also appears on the right of the picture is part of the southern wall of Damascus Castle, and appears on the left of the picture of jasmine, overlooking the garden environment.

According to the 1955 Pasadena City Directory, the owners of that residence were Robert E. and Zoe Sahm. We believe the woman in the photo may be the 1949 Mrs. America winner, Frances L. Cloyd, of San Diego. The image was taken on March 30, 1955, for Karl Willard Motors Inc., which was located at 316 West Colorado Boulevard.

1. I was born March 22, 1964.… I’m 44 today!
2. I’m a SAHM to 4 kids. I substitute teach, baby sit and make and sell jewelry.
3. I think I was a little depressed before I found flickr.
4. I live in a town with a population of 399 in an old, charming house (that needs a lot of work) on about 6 acres.
5. I have a degree from Abilene Christian University, which my dad still kids me about never using. Hey, at least I finished college and did it in 4 years!!
6. I was brought up in a very religious home…. Too strict, but my parents taught me that God was always number one and I still live that way.
7. Purple is my fave color.
8. I have 2 older sisters and 1 older brother… I’m the baby :O)
9. The “F” word offends me… A LOT!
10. I think 70’s rock is my favorite music.
11. I love candles.
12. My purpose in life is to be a mother, but I’m still searching for less important purposes.
13. I love sugar!
14. When I was about 4 or 5 years old a lady at some wedding we were at told my mom that I should be a model. My mom never followed up on it and for years after that I told people I could have been a model :O)
15. My brother makes me laugh harder than anyone in the world.
16. I was in love with and obsessed with the Bay City Rollers in the mid 70’s. I was going to marry Ian Mitchell. I’m now one of his my space friends… who woulda thought.
17. I’ve loved taking pictures since I was in elementary school.
18. I watch way too much TV.
19. I lost 30 lbs on Weight Watchers about 10 years ago and I need to do it again!
20. I’d love to grow a garden, but I think I’m too lazy.
21. My husband and I have been married almost 9 years. We have a very blended family and it’s really hard sometimes.
22. I love, love, love to read!
23. All the things that my mother liked…. Antiques, quilting, jewelry, junk, thrifting, garage sale-ing, goodwill-ing…. Things that I thought were just old and dumb… I now love, but can’t enjoy with her.
24. I was almost 17 before I got my first kiss. I didn’t “waste” it on some goofy boy just to say that I had kissed someone.
25. I was a DJ in college. I hated it! Scared the crap out of me. It was a requirement for my degree. I seriously thought about quitting college over it, but I faced my fear and I got through it! That taught me a huge lesson!
26. I’d rather have an operation than speak in front of a big crowd.
27. About 10 years ago I started having bad panic attacks in restaurants. It wasn’t until recently that I figured out why. My mom was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and me and my two kids were living with my parents at that time. My security (my mom) was slowly fading away because of the disease, which I believe caused my panic attacks. I still have a fear that my panic attacks will come back.
28. I’ve been making jewelry for about 3 years and I LOVE it! I’ve always been crafty and enjoyed making things.
29. When I was in my teens my fingernails were SO long!! That was the style back then, but when I see pictures of my “claws” now I kinda cringe!
30. I hate prejudice and racism!
31. When I was little I wanted to have blonde hair and blue eyes like my best friend.
32. My favorite school years were in Junior High. My social life was great!
33. I’ve never tasted beer.
34. I’ve never tried a drug, including marijuana.
35. I have no idea who I want the next president to be.
36. I like to stay at home better than I like to go out.
37. Being a mother sometimes sucks the life out of me :O)
38. I like scary movies and scary books.
39. I get my braces off in about 5 months…yay!
40. I met my husband on a blind date.
41. Some moms are embarrassed to drive a minivan, but I love my minivan….even my old one that I just traded in.
42. New friends are great, but there’s nothing better than old friends who just KNOW you!
43. Sometimes I dream of moving to a new city where no one knows me and totally re-inventing myself :O)
44. I’m 44 today….. Yay me!!!!!

A great place to explore, with clear and peaceful days, interesting peaks to climb, and night-time skies full of stars.
A slopey and rocky place for the tent, but the pegs stayed in the ground :)
A Whitney Brown and singer-songwriter Carolyn Wonderland were married in a ceremony taking place on March 4, 2011 at Doug Sahm Hill in downtown Austin, Texas beginning at 4:44pm.
Most of the pictures on my stream have this in the background. And a baby on one hip. And a toddler attached to my leg. It's a wonder I ever take a decent picture.

Orange hoodie, boy’s section of Target. Denim, Dollhouse. Boots, Playhouse. Headband, Claire’s.
We all have our comfort clothing, right? The garments we reach for when we remove our work clothes and prepare to relax. Our favorite flip flops, sweatshirt, or jeans. These are my current comfortable favorites.
Hooded Sweatshirt. On principle, I detest hoodies. When I filmed cleaning product demos in the role of “young mom,” my wardrobe consisted of khakis and hoodies. Seriously, I think SAHMs can, and do, dress more stylishly. And what’s the point of the hood? You can’t usually pull it up and then expect to move your head around comfortably. I purchased this hoodie out of desperation, when I realized the comfort clothing I was wearing to Panera was so covered in cat hair that I might be mistaken for a cat myself.
Despite the hood, it is my current favorite “snuggly.” I love the color, retro print, and long lean fit. I can’t believe I found this in the boy’s department; it has flowers printed on the front! I imagine running into the intended size Large boy someday, both of us wearing this hoodie. He’ll turn to his mom and say, “SEE? I TOLD you this was a girl’s shirt!”
Jeans. I will probably cry when these jeans become unserviceable. They are so stretchy and comfortable. They accommodate 20 lbs of weight swing and still manage to make my butt look good. They are Magic Pants. Yes, they show plumber’s crack when I bend over, but that’s why I wear them with a long top. I bought them from the Delia*s catalog over four years ago.
Cowboy Boots. Ah, Playhouse boots. How do I love thee? Let me count the ways: (1) you’re cruelty free! (2) you’re waterproof (3) I can wear you all year long (4) you work with skirts and pants (5) you have star cutouts (6) you were only $20 (7) your long toebox makes me look taller and leaner (even if I do tend to trip on it). I can’t help but wax rhapsodic. I don’t care if others don’t fancy these boots. They will have to pry them from my cold, dead body. Believe me, Mike has tried.
I love this outfit so much that I try to wear it to bed (minus the boots). I’ve been wearing the sweatshirt since Sunday afternoon. When I put the hoodie and jeans in the wash this weekend, I’ll probably cry like a toddler who’s seen his blanky disappear into the bowels of the washing machine. In fact, if it weren’t so cold, I might do laundry wearing only my boots so that I can pull the garments right back on, warm from the dryer.
