Alviso, a small town in the San Francisco Bay Area, is always fun to visit. It's only 20 min from home and work, so I like to go there once in a while for sunset. This time I joined a meet-up of the 101 Photo Club.
I processed a balanced HDR photos from a RAW exposure, carefully adjusted the color balance, and selectively pulled the curves.

Sa Caleta, Ibiza. At around 30° it was really hot. I took this shot while other people were swimming right behind the rocks.
Sa "ramadura" consiste in un atto di omaggio nei confronti di S. Efisio. Detta anche "infiorata", sa ramadura viene espletata, nella fase finale della processione, attraverso lo spargimento per terra di petali di rose (rosse, rosa e giale) sui lastroni della Via Roma, in modo che, al suo passaggio, il cocchio che trasporta la statua del martire possa avanzare su un tappeto floreale, mentre in segno di saluto suonano le sirene delle navi".
Consacrée en 1548, détruite lors d'un incendie en 1694, sa reconstruction a démarré immédiatement. Inscrite aux monuments historiques en 1972.

Apprécié pour sa visibilité exceptionnelle (canopy bulle), sa maniabilité et ses faibles coûts d’exploitation, il est largement utilisé pour la formation initiale des pilotes en aviation générale.
Plongeant sans cesse à la recherche des ses proies aquatiques, il est assez difficile à observer car il reste peu de temps à la surface lorsqu'il est en activité de pêche pour capturer des mollusques et des crustacés qui constituent l'essentiel de son régime.
C'est le plus petit et le plus trapu des grèbes. Il est immédiatement identifiable à sa petite tête ronde, son petit bec mince aux commissures pâles souvent visibles et son inimitable façon de flotter comme un bouchon, l'arrière du corps tronqué. En période nuptiale, le castagneux se reconnaît à ses joues, sa gorge et son avant du cou brun-roux contrastant avec le reste du plumage brun sombre et la tache jaune pâle qui marque la commissure du bec.

Le regole prevedono che si giochi in due alla volta. I giocatori mostrano contemporaneamente la propria mano scegliendo di far vedere un certo numero di dita. Allo stesso tempo dichiarano un numero da due a dieci (morra) nel tentativo di indovinare la somma delle dita che vengono mostrate in totale, comprese dunque quelle dello sfidante. Chi indovina la somma guadagna un punto. L’incontro si svolge secondo il criterio partita, rivincita e eventuale ‘bella’.
Sa murra is the Sardinian version of morra whose origins are rooted in ancient Egypt. The skills to play morra are above all the speed of calculation and the ability to read and influence the opponent's moves. The rules require two to play at a time. Players simultaneously show their hand by choosing to show a certain number of fingers. At the same time they declare a number from two to ten (morra) in an attempt to guess the sum of the fingers that are shown in total, including therefore those of the challenger. Whoever guesses the sum earns a point. The match takes place according to the criterion game, revenge and eventual 'best'.
Frankenberg/Sa. wurde Mitte des 12. Jahrhunderts von fränkischen Siedlern als Waldhufendorf gegründet. Zusammen mit der etwas unterhalb an der Zschopau gelegenen Sachsenburg gelangte die Herrschaft Frankenberg 1232 in den Besitzer der Wettiner, die sie später an die Familie von Schönberg weiterveräußerte. 1610 gelangte die Herrschaft erneut in den Besitz der Landesherren, die im hiesigen Rittergut den Sitz der Amtsverwaltung Frankenberg-Sachsenburg einrichteten. Die wirtschaftliche Entwicklung Frankenbergs war stets mit der Textilindustrie verknüpft gewesen, welche durch den bereits 1869 geschaffenen Bahnanschluss weiter aufblühte. Zudem etablierte sich die Kleinsatdt seit Anfang des 20. Jahrhunderts als Garnisonsstadt.
Bedeutendstes Baudenkmal ist die Stadtkirche St. Aegidien mit ihrem weithin sichtbaren Turm. Sie entstand als Ersatz für eine ältere Kirche vermutlich um das Jahr 1500 als spätgotische Hallenkirche. Als ein Teil des Chorgewölbes eingestürzt war, kam es 1740-44 nach Plänen des Freiberger Ratszimmermeisters Johann Gottlieb Ohndorff zum Neubau des Kirchenschiffes, bei dem die Dresdner Dreikönigskirche mit ihrem barocken Emporensaal als Vorbild diente.
